Ah, well. I was curious about the Elenium and the Tamuli for a couple of years. I've had that curiosity satisfied, and it isn't like they were completely unenjoyable reads, either. I liked the feeling of vast conspiracies... which Sparhawk managed to defuse whenever he came across them - usually with lots of blood. Bleh.
*: that's how I see it, anyway. Something just sits oddly with me when the protagonist sics horsemen on a badly armed mob of would-be revolutionaries AND surprises them with burning pitch.
