MAKE ME WRITE FANFICTION
PLEASE.
I'm tired of having to admit that I've never actually done fanfic and maybe if I can get myself writing fun stuff the other stuff won't seem so terrible. So I think it's time I finally stepped up and said I'm going to do this. So:
I'm going to do this.
(Besides, I'd feel bad for requesting something when I've never done any drabbles of my own.)
1. Pick any one of your works. It should be longer than a one-shot for the purpose of this challenge. Grab your collection of one-shots whatever you can find.
2. Find the third line or third-to-last line of the chapter of the story and post it here. Do not add context.
3. Take requests for a drabble based on that one line. The drabble does not have to be related to the original work. The person requesting may set minor conditions within reason. It can also cross fandoms.
4. Drabble away. Duh.
5. If anyone takes part in this meme, they must also can also offer the same in their own journal. But they don't have to. Go ahead and ask away!
1. He had waited his own due time, and now he had come again.
2. Snow followed, heavy and swift, to cover their graves.
3. There was nothing she could do.
4. “And you are?”
5. She is to be brought alive.
6. “You’d better hold on to me,” he said.
7. Except that it still didn’t feel true.
8. She’d stayed this long.
9. Thankfully, there were not seven of him.
10. He seemed to get the hint.
11. “I didn’t mean to run off, really, I just-”
12. “Does that mean you would prefer I not stay?”
13. It was at least three times the size of her own.
14. But even through the snow and maze of branches, she could see the black horse approaching.
15. Her body froze.
16. He looked at her, breathing hard, his skin streaked with sweat-and in his face was something of exhaustion, something of relief, and something of regret.
17. “In here,” he said then, motioning toward an open doorway.
18. They lived apart from people as we know them, dwelling in their own world within the world.
19. He would not be so jealous if he were not the king.
20. She could feel his hand around hers.
21. It’s like watching someone smile when you know they’re lying through their teeth.
22. This one was crying.
23. She was always--no, had always been smiling, before.
24. “What part of ‘no way in hell’ can you bastards not understand?”
I'll try Naruto, Kenshin, Harry Potter, Firefly, or anything else you know I actually know something about.
