I think that I just vomited a little

Listening to NPR this morning, just a few minutes ago really, they decided to go to the Republican meeting going on in Wisconsin (I think that's what they said, or maybe the person was from Wisconsin and the meeting was somewhere else, my head is still spinnig). They interviewed a woman about what she thought about the path that the Republicans are on, and she made two comments that first made my head spin, and then made me want to vomit.

Quote 1:

"I don't know why we aren't talking up the war more. I know that maybe the public is a little war weary, but we should be talking it up. We're winning."

Quote 2, Carl Rove was speaking at the meeting and didn't mention Bush, in reaction she said this gem:

"Republicans should be proud, Bush is a great president."

You keep your food down? Not easy huh? Yeah, it was all spoken with such conviction that it makes you wonder how the republicans can cut out vital portions of a person's brain and still be so liked by them.

news, npr
