Following the lead of old friends, here are my My 2005 highlights!!!
In January - My divorce became final. This was actually a great new beginning for me believe it or not! I also started a new job as a recruiter at a college.
In February - I went to Phoenix on business for training. It was such a great trip!! I came home the Friday before Valentine's Day and Mike proposed that weekend. He got down on both knees (even the bad one). He was so sweet!!
In March - We went to a great St. Patty's Day Party at Tony & Carol's. My nephew turned 5. Also, the City Mayoral Race really kicked into high gear so I went to rallies and forums!
In April - My other nephew turned 3. I got a clean bill of health for some issues I was having!! Mike and I saw Chicago when it came to Rochester!
In May - I got into a car accident on the way to my cousin's wedding (we were one block from the Church)! We made it to the reception but I was hurting a lot! On a happier note - Mike and I decided not to wait over a year and got married in a quiet little ceremony at our camp in Western NY over Memorial Day Weekend with our closest friends and family present. It was a little cool and rainy at first but we had a blast!
In June - We went out to camp all but the first weekend! It was so wonderful! I also was laid off from my job at the college due to cutbacks and started working for my Aunt at the Costume Shop full-time!
In July - It was one of the hottest summers I can remember!! We just tried to stay cool. We went to the Annual Costume Shop Picnic and had so much fun! Also, our friends Tony & Carol as well as Mike's Brother Wayne & his wife Traci announced that they are expecting babies in March of 2006!
In August - The heat continued in August and we spent many night in air-conditioning getting ready for my girlfriend Briann's Bridal Shower! The shower was a luau theme which was so fitting considering it was 92 degrees the day of her shower and we had no AC! Also, we opened our Eastview MAll store and my busy season began!!
In September - We continued to work like crazy. Also, we went to a wedding for our friends Scott & Jenn!! It was fun and we enjoyed a night out!
In October - I took my LSAT for Law School, turned 30 (Mike & my Nana surprised me with a fantastic dinner at Tastings Restaurant with my family and closest friends), and had a record-breaking month at the Costume Shop! Also, Kevin and Briann got married on October 28th (yes Halloween Weekend) and Mike and I were both in the wedding party! The whole day was wonderful and Briann looked gorgeous!
In November - We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family! We also started discussing starting our family! I also started back to work at the weight loss center. I am very happy to be back!
In December - I got a promotion but I have to drive 45 minutes to an hour to get to my center - but I love it! We went to Christmas Parties and enjoyed time with our families!! We had a New Years Eve Party and had the best time staying up til 4:30 AM!!
I hope your 2005 was as great as ours!!
