This is very well done! I like clarity of your prose, it makes it very easy to envision this happening with the characters. I like the way you write the passage of time softening all of them, although not changing the core fundamentals of any of them, and I find it interesting that it is Peter who seems to have changed least of all.

Thank you!

That seems to be intrinsic to my writing. I can't do flowery description to save my life, so it's good to know that it's appreciated.

the passage of time softening all of them
I think there's basically 2 ways immortality can shape a person. Either softening the edges, or making them rougher. Adam, for example, for the first few centuries got hardened, turning him into the type of man who would attempt mass murder. Having others around to ground you, however, I think lends more to the softening.

Peter who seems to have changed least of all
Peter's defined by his empathy, I believe, both traditional and power-based. With that at his core, I see him staying the same for a long time. That or going batshit nuts, but I wasn't going for that angle with this one. =D

This is awesome! I just happened upon it, and it sounded intriguing, and I couldn't stop reading this morning. I love how well it flows. Very nicely done. :)

“Claire and Adam got married,” he whispered, and it was clear that it pained him just to say it.

“Took them long enough,” Sylar replied stretching out on the grass, enjoying the warm summer breeze dancing over his naked flesh. “It’s been nearly a century since he asked.”

This part made me laugh. Very beautiful fic.

Oh, I just love the parallels between the two couples, and how they're both connected. Adam's line about "They're not like us, they're Gods amoung men" really pulled the whole story together for me. Because they AREN'T all the same. Claire and Adam are immortals; Peter and Sylar are empaths. Everything just fit together really well here.

As an above commentator said, the softening of all the characters was great too, and how they're all forced to depend on each other for eternity. Definetly one of the best "immortal" fics I've ever read =)

I liked exploring that angle. On the surface, Peter and Claire seem more similar, and Sylar and Adam more similar, but given time and the scope of their abilities these things become more prominent, more defining than the personalities they had when they were young.

Thank you so much!

Nice job. I liked the different prespectives that have come from their immortaility. Plus there's far too little Adam/Claire to be found.;)

Thanks for posting.

I'd never really thought much about Adam/Claire, but they really do go well together. =)

Thank you!
