rackets has all the myus up to DL3. :D Also all the manga and episodes (but you have to join).

And Yanagi can't sing because of the accident (he can barely speak, even). He's still really cute though. X3

Katou as Atobe is amazing!! I <3 Katou, I follow his solo singing career now too. X3 I'm a huge nerd for him (I have his DL3 photoset framed in my room and I have his 2007 calendar X3).

Kenken~ (sorry I'm going through this in points, I have a huge love for DL3 X3). Kenken is an adorable Shishido. They even had the height right for him and Ootori (Date Kouji).

Inui is a huge dork and it totally makes up for the fact that other than Echizen he's actually the shortest cast member in Seigaku (hence my icon). XD;;;

Fuji is okay. I preferred it when Kimeru was playing Fuji, because Aiba scares me. He's too skinny (him and Eiji both >_>) and I mean skinnier than most of the others. It just looks really gross.

Gakuto was really good too, but the red wig throws me later on because he's only 15 or so there and so he's still growing, he outgrows the wig in Rokkakumyu. XD

LOL The costumes. XD I'm not even sure Ootori's is normal, I mean, teal pants? XDDD At least their Rokkakumyu normal clothes are more...normal. XD;

...I wrote a long, really rambly, really fangirly answer to your comment, and then lost it when the LJ server decided it was too busy. *laugh* But mostly I was just agreeing with you and/or being a dweebling. So believe it or not... this is the abbreviated version.

I've just spent most of the afternoon watching the third Dream Live more times than is really reasonable... and I have to admit, there are a couple of characters/actors that have since really grown on me.

The fellow who plays Shishido (KenKen?) I admit disappointed me a bit in the musical, just because it's really hard, I think, to match the sheer adorable hotness that is the guy who plays Ootori (Koji Date?) But over the course of my rewatching, he's really grown on me--for one, in Dream Live you get to see a lot more of the Shishido attitude--and even the way he moves, and stands, is spot-on character. And, well, the more I see of him, the cuter I find him. *laugh*

Hiyoshi, oddly, grew on me like a weed during the Dream Live. For one, he's got one of the strongest singing voices, oddly enough, and for another, the expression on his face is so totally, "What the Hell am I doing with these people?" And that moment when Atobe gets mad at the guys, and all of them scramble for safety except for Shishido, Oshitari, and Hiyoshi? The way Hiyoshi just sauntered past him, and replied with a completely polite, completely unapologetic, "Sumimasen deshita?" I was totally in love.
.......and it was so awful and hilarious that Seigaku made fun of him during the showdown: the line was "What Hiyoshi sings when he's forgotten the lyrics to his songs."

And Jirou! Jirou was just cute, bouncy, rapping love, everything that fandom makes of him and which we so rarely actually see in the anime.

...oh, NOES, I could have absolutely sworn that those pants were JEANS! Uh... I think I'm going to take a page from Atobe's Denial and pretend they are... for the sake of my sanity. ^^;

I'm considering asking my poor boy to get me the original Dream Live 3 DVD when he's in Japan... oh, he's going to kill me, especially since I was fangirling to him about just how hot Atobe was in it, but oh! I swear that the producers were going out of their way to encourage every single popular pairing, and I am absolutely in love. *laugh*

XDDDDD

Oh one of the things that really amuses me, is that Katou Kazuki (Atobe) and Takuya (Jirou) are actually REALLY good friends off stage. So naturally there's a lot of fan service there. XD

Shishido = Kamakari Kenta
Ootori = Date Kouji
Hiyoshi = Kawai Ryuunosuke

I LOVE Kabaji, actually, I thought he was hilarious.

Oh and Hiyoshi for the most part scares me (for some reason he reminds me of Fester from the Addams Family o_O) but I loved that part when Seigaku was "Gekokujou da ze! Hmm hmm hmm~". XDDD

I think that the stronger singers in Hyoutei are probably Atobe, Oshitari and Hiyoshi. Kenken isn't too bad actually, I think it's partially because he's trying to sing in character.

Oh and I can understand the whole Shishido thing, and I blame it on the fact that Kenken himself is incredibly adorable and happy, so it would be hard for him to get Shishido exactly right, I think. XDDD

Oh man, I could go on about tenimyu for hours, but I think I'll leave you with that. XDDDD

*LAUGH* Oh, God, I swear, these actors just make it so very easy to slash them, and I don't even believe in Real Person Slash!

The Kabaji player is pretty amazing--though I could have sworn that in one of the backstage things, he said that he was actually 14 at the time of the first Hyoutei musical! O_O And I have to agree with Atobe--Kabaji being embarrassed about Atobe telling him that his outfit suits him is really unexpectedly cute, and I'm glad that they put that into the Dream Live.

*giggle* Seigaku mocking Hiyoshi was hilarious--though I think that Hyoutei was so much meaner about mocking Ooishi that they definitely won that one. ^_~ I think what I liked about the way Kawai Ryuunosuke played him was that he was so very stone-faced, and he carried off the idea of being respectful in word but not in spirit thing wonderfully. ^^ Plus, well, I was writing Mari-stuff at the time, so I go through phases where I just adore Hiyoshi in general to bits. ^_~

Kenken isn't a bad singer at all--he's got nice tones and phrasing, even if his voice scratches on some of the notes. But the voices of the other three are so smooth that it's hard to compare--especially Kazuki's. Actually, as a whole I feel the Hyoutei cast are much stronger singers than the Seigaku cast--and though poor Kouji's voice isn't really meant for what he puts it through, the way he puts his hand on his stomach and hunches his shoulders when he sings is actually cute enough to make up for it. Plus his higher voice sounds like Ootori, so I can forgive him that. ^_~

Now that I've watched a lot of the backstage things, I have to agree, though--Kenken is ridiculously bouncy and cute, and he's got a great smile. I have to admit, though, I watched this music video on YouTube (I think it's under the name Sex Bom, and yes, that's not a typo) and when Kenken's parts of it came up, I swear the first thing on my mind was, "Holy God who'd have thought anyone who played Shishido could possibly have such ridiculous bedroom eyes?"

Monnie's brain: "Well, there went any and all thoughts of only being able to see the Myu Silver Pair as being adorable and innocent..."

*cough* Right then... (Am, with much embarrassment, going to watch that video again. ^_~)

I don't believe in it either, but it's always fun to watch it anyway. XDDD

LOL Well, yes, Hiyoshi was played really well. I dunno, I started liking him more after seeing more of the anime (OVA series), but his actor still scares me as him. XD

Yeah, I think Hyoutei won more than one of those. >_>

In Seigaku...welll, I LOVED Araki (Inui) because he was a huge dork, but really one of the only people who COULD sing was Shirota (Tezuka). Aiba (Fuji) could sing too but I get kind of sick of him (I think he's been in it too long).

I loved Kenken's "janken" battle, and how the ONLY person who beat him was Date who was playinig Ootori. XDDDDDD It amused me too much. It also made me laugh when Kenken kept moving in front of Date during his little interview thing on the boat, talking about a non-existent rainbow, then after he attacked Katou's face from behind while he was talkin. (I actually watched some of the backstage for the Air Gear musical that Kenken is also in along with the second gen Momo and Yuuta, and he attacks one of their faces then too. It must be a Kenken thing. XDD)

Oh dear, I think I need to find this video. XDDDD
