When someone comments on a LJ, their IP address is tracked. Somebody should track the IP address on the comment that was left. Just a suggestion.

Why? because he said "sorry that you're dead"? He was just being an asshole, what will that solve if people go tracking him down?

Nonono. I could care less about that other comment. I'm talking about the one from "Taylor."

the only reason i haven't been found is because i don't want to be... im happy now, im sick of living in fear, i've had my ups and downs but now im starting over, i'll visit after the new year comes in but untill then just stay calm, hold your head, you can keep praying for me if it makes you feel better but im alright now, it's all ok.... it's gonna be ok.....

If that is from her, which I doubt, then they can trace where it was posted from and possibly find some clues. That's all I way saying.

sorry for the mixup! ritahritahritah September 24 2005, 17:25:46 UTC
oh, yeah yeah yeah...thats sick, i dont know why people are so stupid sometimes. it's a bit hard to track an anonymous comment, but the LJ staff can easily help investigators with that.
God I hope she's okay...

Yeah me too. I saw her about 5-6 days before she went missing. I was visiting my boyfriend at VCU and she helped my friend and I out by providing us with a place to spend the night.

I agree. Livejournal could see this the IP addresses on their servers. I imagine that someone close to Taylor would know she had a journal and would have posted that pretending to be her to throw people off. This Ben Fawloey guy had a blog online, so I am sure he would have known. And he has already told police he was abducted that night by two people his ex-girlfriend knew. And it's weird that the ex-girlfriend reported that a picture of Tatlor was taken at her farm. Where thebody was found.

I think that the police do that every once in a while... They usually dont leave one stone un turned... And if a potential suspect is online and posting or doing ANYTHING, hes an iddiot cause its not hard for a cop to get information. My god they probably tracked each one of US down and did a background check! Please, Taylor, again I ask you, Please come home to your loved ones! were all praying for you...

And to the person above me, its sick and disgusting how a person would even WRITE that. not even that, its inconsiderate (Spelling) to say it. Especially when her mother and whom ever else PROBABLY read this journal daily.

I don't think ips are being tracked here, unless there's some sort of secret LJ admin way of doing it. This journal doesn't have that option.

The people commenting are most likely trolls. It's doubtful that anyone who really has anything to do with this would comment here.

It's only tracked if the user has turned on the tracking option.

I'm pretty sure the livejournal people can look into it and it's stored somewhere in their systems. I've heard of them doing that before to work with investigators/fbi.

LJ can see it in their servers.

And? It doesn't matter anyway; there's nothing there that would be of any interest to anyone in the FBI, as very few people commenting here actually knew her.

If that's you in your icons, I don't think you have man tits.

Don't lie.
