I don't know you, and you don't know me, but I am a mom with a 18 yr old daughter. We went to VCU this past summer for a visit after she was accepted there. Thank God she decided to stay closer to home.

Taylor, no matter where you are, if you are hiding, if you're scared, if you just needed to get away for awhile, it's time to come home. It's going to be ok, you just need to come home.

The whole world is looking for you, and parents like me, can't help but want to go pull our own children out of their schools to protect them from this type of situation. You're going to be ok, just please please come home so we all can feel a little safer at night.

umm kids go missing in ALL universities around the U.S. so stop blaming VCU. Just raise your children right and hope that they stay safe, but this is a universal problem, and not exclusive to VCU OR to cities. So stop acting childish, PARENT!

I did not mean any disrespect to VCU, or anybody that is associated with the school, in my previous post of Taylor Come Home. My daughter is away at college at this time, and as a parent, we all worry when we send our child away from home for the first time, especially when they are female.

The point of my post was, to tell Taylor, if she's reading this, that there is nothing out there that is so bad that she cannot come home. No matter where she is, no matter what has happened, the only thing that matters is that she comes home. There is not anything that could EVER make me stop loving my children, and I'm sure her parents feel the same way. We just all want her to return safe and sound!

i think you did mean disrespect to vcu. it was rude. taylor behl died because of the company she kept. it's not necessarily her fault but it's not VCU's fault either. I'm tired of hearing parents lament about how VCU must be horrible or unsafe. There are thousands of perfectly safe girls in attendance there now, including my young sister. I trust her and the campus. your daughter has just as much chance of getting harmed at her campus no matter how close it is located to you. If she acquiants herself with a dangerous man, there's no telling what will happen. So you hope and pray it will be okay but don't blame the school or the environment. that leads to nothing.

You have no idea what I think. As I said, my point was to let Taylor know if she was alive, to come home.

For YOUR information, I tried very hard to get my daughter to go to VCU, not the small private college she is attending close to home. I wanted her to experience university life, and after visiting many different colleges, I liked VCU the best. And YES, there are creeps lurking in every corner of the world waiting to prey on our young daughters. We just hope we've taught them well enough to know how to tell the good from the bad, but bad things happen all the time, no matter how careful a person is.

I like Richmond. I spent alot of time there training for a job, and had been around the VCU campus way before we went to visit the school for her and I liked the atmosphere which is why when applying for colleges, I asked her to apply there.

If you're trying to be an ass, you get an A+ on that one, because you have NO idea what you're talking about.

I don't think you people should be tearing every sentance apart and throwing it in the commentor's face. If they're trying to show their support, then don't give them a hard time. I can see if they were disrespecting the board, that someone would jump on them, but this is just ridiculous.
