Due to a poisonous dose of Ambien (if you know anyone currently taking Ambien, ask them to find an alternative-- please), a series of very nasty mis-understandings and a two-day hell-bent-for-leather truck drive, I am currently hiding out in New Mexico ( Read more... )

That sounds horribly scary and very upsetting for everyone involved. It sounds like it's getting a little better ... that's good. I wish it sounded more like things were better, better.

You are suspicious of this one, as opposed to anything else? Am glad to hear that you are talking -- we kinda like you guys here in exile with us in Texas.

If we win a big enough lotto, we can all move to somewhere like Madrid, NM. I refuse to move otherwise, tho -- quality people like the friends I've made here are hard to come by! Wish you had time for 10,000 Waves...

My Mother (bless her interfereing soul) asked me what the hell happened to drive me to New Mexico, so I told her the whole story and the moment I said 'Ambien' she stopped me and told me about all the horror stories she'd been hearing both in Texas and from my sister in California.

People seem to have no problem with Ambien in low doses, but I took what I was perscribed (a full tab as opposed to the low dose half) and had the 'side effects from hell', i.e. a total loss of inhibitions and psychotic behavior.

I did some things, David did some things and this led to a 1000 mile trek.

David and I played the Powerball Lottery last night and if we won (we haven't checked yet) we're starting a commune with extremely limited vegeterianism and nudity.

And no bloody Ambien.

Hummm....does this mean few nudists and Vegans, or mostly veggies and nudity? ;^)

I agree, I haven't heard this about Ambien -- I remember you started with half a tab, and it worked for you. But after this, you may want to go ask for something else. (Hell, yes, you should ask for something else!)

Hope you found a decent restaurant for dinner, and that we see you soon!

Remember the Kennedy spawnling that went sleep-driving? Ambien.

Chappelle's done a few bits on this odd drug.

And a finitely nudist commune with limited vegetarianism does sound pretty cool.

I too have heard too many "horror stories" about Ambien to ever take such a thing.

If you need to talk to "outsiders" about anything, our place is always open. Call and come on by!
