Professional fanboys, how I love 'em

Some of my Brit friends are squeeing about David Tennant (the Tenth Doctor Who) who competed on a game show in the UK this weekend.

Apparantly, he's a spookily knowledgable 'West Wing' fan.

Like, stalker level knowledgable. . . :)

It's so much fun when the star of the show you like is hung up like an otaku on another show.

Makes me feel that much less geeky when I ask for an autograph (and from what I'm hearing from the UK fans, he's very, very good to his fans over there, very kind and sweet and takes the time to let them get over their shakes and studders).

Colin Baker (the Sixth Doctor Who) was a huge sci-fi book fan. I'd send him autographed books from ArmadilloCon and he'd just squee like a fan girl. 'What was she like? Is she pretty? Well spoken? Did she know who I was?'

I always wanted him to come see for himself, but he was always too worried he'd cause a stampede in his direction and away from the authors.

I told him to wear a t-shirt, jeans and a cap, and he'd blend in with all the other fan boys.

Don't think he's ever done it.
