mongo42,
dragonherder1,
spinsono and I worked on the TARDIS today.
Here's the first photo from last week showing the first load of wood and the table saw in it's box.

Last week we got the table saw assembled, bought the first load of lumber, unloaded it, downloaded multiple sets of plans and building instructions and started trying to figure out our plan of attack.
We have settled on the plans we're using. We're building a Harnell (first Doctor) era TARDIS, commonly refered to as a 'Brachaki Box' for the fellow who wrote up the original plans.
We have decided to start at the bottom and work our way up.
So, we cut four pieces of different weights of plywood in half, glued and screwed them together and then cut 2 by 4 edgeing pieces.
Whew.
Here's
mongo42 and
dragonherder1 actually working.

spinsono and I are sitting in front of the swamp cooler taking a break.
I know it's just a big, flat piece of wood. But it's the first step of my TARDIS! I am psyched!
