From Locus, June 2006, pg11

Opus Dei, the now-not-so-secret Catholic conclave that supposedly "rules the world" according to The Da Vinci Code , has a database rating over 60,000 titles on a scale of one to six; books that are suggested reading have a one rating, books with a six rating are entirely prohibited (without permission from the Prelate of Opus Dei in Rome).

The list of books with a six rating includes works by Brian Aldiss, Lloyd Alexander, Robert Heinlein, Stephen King (natch), Margaret Atwood, Philip Roth, Edith Wharton, and Harlan Ellison© (yes, he copyrighted his name).

Ellison, upon hearing about the rating, said, "I'm quietly humble and proud to be a handmaiden of the devil."

The complete list is a avalable at the Opus Dei watchdog website http://www.odan.org/index_forbidden_books_new.htm
