Ain't life grand. (SA)

Life at the academy. Okay, not so much a change. I attended the academy in England for awhile, moved around some in the US, lived mostly in New Orleans. And now here I was in California, the outskirts of San Francisco, after the closing of the infamous Sunnydale hellmouth. Wonderful. Ain't life grand.

So basically it's been attending classes, learning patrols, studying, the usual. And the meet and greet with the other girls around here. I'm one of the oldest slayers here, I've got experience. As far as the slayer classes, I mean. Hell, I've been a slayer as long as most of the girls here. Okay, as long as all the girls here, except Faith and Buffy.

So it's all about learning. Gaining experience. Because that's what keeps you alive, right? As long as I don't break a nail. You think I'm kidding? Seriously. I mean, most of the girls here, it's like, hello, just because we're kicking ass nightly does not mean fashion gets checked at the door. Ugh.

As for the staff, they're cool. Dawn's not much older than the rest of us. Willow, she's into the magicks. Which is so awesome, for me. But I can sense something...darker about Willow. Not sure. Nobody really talks about that much. Andrew? He's kind of fun, in a quirky sort of way. And Giles, the real Watcher around here, totally reminds me of dear daddy Julian, ha, in a sense that he's a Brit. Kind of stuffy. Wears tweed. But looks good doing so. Oh, god, you so did NOT here me say that! Speaking of good-looking Brits, there's Wesley Wyndham-Pryce. Can you say damn, hello, salty goodness? Totally feeling some Van Halen there. ("Hot for Teacher" for all you know-nothings.)

In any case, think I'll go hang in the lounge. See if anyone fun's about.
