On a day like this
Hello there, all of you. It's been a few hectic days. It's, uhm, my birthday today. :-)
Went out with friends and relatives for some major partying on Saturday, helped a friend to move yesterday and today, I'll enjoy a quiet day in the country.
My friend and I will go out and pick mushrooms later. No, not the funny ones that Much likes, edible and delicious ones. ;-) Will make a mushroom sauce, grill some good meat and have a good wine to go with it.
Mushrooms:
Chantarelle, Cantharellus cibarius
Craterellus cornucopioides
Cantharellus tubaeformis
The two last don't seem to have English names, LOL. They are very tasty and easy to recognise. Only hard to find. ;-) I secretly hope for the second kind, they are delicious!
It's actually a lot like Sherwood here. But no outlaws. And no Gisborne. ;-) Well, there's always imagination.
It feels OK to get older, as long as there is so much fun involved with it. It's good to be on holiday! So much to do and so much I want to do. But today: nature, good food and good friends. Best there is.
