Cleo's dead...
We had to put Cleo to sleep yesterday.
It all started when we found some lumps on her side. We thought it was just her stomach, since they didn't seem to bother her. But then, she lost a lot of weight and wouldn't eat much, so we took her to the vet about a week ago. Turns out that those lumps were her kidneys, and that she had Fiber Cysts, which are a common inherited disease in Persians, basically taking over her kidneys.
So, we took her home, and let her live out the rest of her life there. Yesterday, she wouldn't eat anything at all, and was basically just a walking skeleton. We made the decision to put her to sleep after that.
She was such a good cat. I'm just sad that she had to go from such a horrible disease (just like poor Lovey.) I'll be missing her.
