Finally, after a long period of waiting, I am ready to begin catching up on all the Spawn comic issues I missed out on. Several years ago I saw the Spawn film in the cinemas on my birthday, it was shit but it got me to try out the comics. So I began collecting the Graphic novels issued by Titan until they stopped printing them and then I was left with no other way to continue except to buy the comics every month and I hate collecting comics because a) they take up too much space b) I prefer all the storyline in one go without stupid adverts getting in the way. Lo and behold, a few years later Image started printing the collections which was to chronicle the entire series, unfortunately that meant I'd need to wait another two years before Volume 5 came out, enabling me to carry on where I left off. Now the time has passed and I have purchased not only this, but also the entire Armageddon series (which sees Spawn facing off God, The Devil and the Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse naturally) and the latest trade paperback used to promote the newest issues which favour a more gothic horror storyline as opposed to dark superhero tales of before.
Armageddon
Collection Volume 5
New Flesh Collection
All together, about 1000 pages of pure Spawn goodness to read through which should keep me smiling for awhile and also The Collection Volume 6 is just around the corner, to be released in June, complete with the doubled sized ultra rare #100 reprint. Fantastic.
For those of you wondering what I'm going on about, Wikipedia should suffice to explain what the Hell (see what I did there?) I'm reffering to;

In other news, GTAIV has been released for one single week and has already sold around 50 million copies. Bloody Hell, that's what the Rockstar hype train does, although actually unsurprisingly the game is actually very fucking good scoring 9.8-100 on average on just about every review site out there. Marvelous stuff from what I've seen in the trailers, no sign of a PC release anytime soon though... booo.
