~when i see you, you're the only thing i see~

Mmmmkay, well, today was the first day since I started on my writing frenzy that I didn't write a new chapter in Checkmarks. And I'm slightly terrified that somehow that will take the edge of and suddenly I'll have lost all this momentum that I've built up, but frankly, I don't care right now, because I'm exhausted and all sweaty because it's about eighty nine degrees in here. And seriously, who doesn't turn on their air conditioning when it's that hot in a house? Well, obviously, my parents. Grr.

So. I get a laptop! Yea!

Unfortunately, it's not as great as it sounds. First of all, it's from 1998, my cousin's old roommate gave it to her. It's an ugly gray color, and basically only has Mic Word. No Internet (well, that's actually due to there being to Net connection in my room.) or anything. And it's not exactly sleek as laptops go. But you know what? I don't care. Because it's so awesome! I mean, I can sit anywhere I want and type. I've never been a very good writing out a story person. Poems and songs, even journal entries I can scribble down no prob. But stories turn out with these little dinky two line paragraphs if I write them out. No clue why.

Argh. Today was pretty boring. I was supposed to go out with Ross, but he cancelled... and he's supposed to call me to talk about tomorrow... but he hasn't yet... mmkay, guess we'll hafta wait and see if he ever does.

I'm hanging out with Emily for the first time in awhile after VBS tomorrow. That's so awesome... I hate that I don't see a lot my friends as much, especially because Emily was one of my closest friends in seventh grade... but hey, that's what summer is for, right? (And Blythe, yea for eighties movie day! Um, are we still having french toast, too? LOL. Just wondering...)

That's about it. Nothing philosophical or really remotely interesting because I'm too exhausted. Kids+Me=disaster. Especially when you add in the fact that I got four hours of sleep last night...
