My newest obsession.....
First there was Dragonball Z..... then there was Rurouni Kenshin... now, there is NARUTO!!!!!!!!!!!! Quite possibly the greatest anime series I've ever seen thus far, Naruto has occupied WAAAY too much of my time lately (in the past 4 days I've watched about 52 episodes). The simple jist of the story is that many years ago a nine-tailed fox demon was attacking a Japanese town, and the fourth Hokage (the ultimate rank for a Ninja) sacrificed his life to defeat the demon. He wasn't able to kill it, but he was able to trap it in a seal that was then placed in a baby boy. That boy is, you guessed it, Naruto. Naruto grows up not knowing he has this demon inside of him, and the anime details his life trying to become a great ninja all the while finding out more about this power that's inside him. He makes many friends, and Naruto is arguably not even the main character of the show. His rival and friend Sasuke is your typical genius ninja that all the girls want, but he wants nothing to do with them, while Naruto is loud and arrogant, but he's ALWAYS positive and confident that he will beat everyone to fulfill his dream of making everyone in the town recognize him and become a Hokage.
This is INSANELY condensed, and if you think it sounds stupid here, then I guess that's your loss. Go buy, download, WHATEVER YOU CAN DO to get this friggin anime series. I heard they're going to start showing it on Cartoon Network, which is good, but it will be dubbed. If you can get your hands on it subtitled and unedited, then definitely do so.
