Bobby popped out the clip and handed his weapon to Ross. He snapped the empty holster closed.
"It was a good shoot detective." Ross glanced nervously at Eames literally vibrating with fury. "I.A. will have you cleared by nightfall. He suffered wounds to his hands arms shoulder, and flank from shrapnel--but he'll live to stand trial. Good job." he turned and walked toward the EMT/s.
"GOOD JOB, GOOD JOB!?!?" Alex grabbed Bobby's arm and he allowed her to drag him around the building and shove him into the wall.
"What the fuck was that, Goren?"
"I...I..."
"You shoot at the torso not the gun hand. You could have been killed. They teach us to shoot at the big target. You barely pass your proficiency test on the range each year for marksmanship re-certification and you shoot a guy trying to kill us in the fucking hand. Damn it all to hell, Bobby."
With a gentleness that only he'd have after one of her blistering rants, "Maybe I WAS shooting at his chest."
"Like hell, You were playing good guy again."
"You're the one with the marksmanship medal."
"Really--and yet you're the one doing trick shots. What? You have a death wish now 'cause that son of a bitch would have blown your fucking brains out. And I'd be sitting in the damn alley street holding your dying body. God damn you Goren."
"I'm not going to kill someone if..."
Fighting tears she shoved him as he moved to comfort her. "Don't you dare."
"Alex..."
"FUCK YOU, GOREN and that damn white charger you come riding up on."
All she could think was he could have died. She could picture him lying in a pool of his blood dying in her arms, then where would all those ethics of his gotten him or her.
She turned and stormed away only to jerk to a stop and storm back ramming her finger into his chest. "Listen, Goren. You're an NYPD detective not fucking Doc Holiday.”
