Secrets and Wishes

Two things at far too early an hour.

#1: While wandering through school websites looking for official transcripts, I found out that I shall not be able to get into MyWisc after...well, my birthday. Or the day before it, whatever.

But more importantly (yeah, my priorities are in wonderful shape, why do you ask?) at the UWSP site I found this:

yay! sandy's in lindy classes! :D uh...if their only requirement was for the shoes to be non marking, sneakers should be fine. they might require that the sneakers are clean (you weren't out in the snow in them), but otherwise, yeah. you mightn't spin very well, but you're not going to be doing much of that in beginner lindy anyway. xD

lol i would really like to see her expression if you wore your taps. and i want taps. oh yeah, that was the other class i wanted. tap. but since that requires buying the shoes on top of the class fees...brian keeps dragging them out and making me jealous at dances. :)

and aww...you guys would really buy my way into those? see, the problem is i'm not sure i can make them, schedule wise, especially since things are about to make like eggs and scramble. though i fully intend to move mountains to make it...but if i come to an ocean i won't be able to move or swim it. um...sea jam is the lindy thing that jitterbugs hosts every year, and it's ridiculously expensive. but they get frankie manning and the harlem hotshots in, every year, so.

sometime, we really have to get that studio photo done that we've been talking about for forever. some christmas or something, preferably after i'm self-sufficient (though we'd probably all be old and unwilling to have our lined faces immortalised by then. xD)

LOL. I have no idea what *you*'re so happy about (a) We'll see how much I keep up with them :$ And I DO want to see her face if i turn up in taps, but since I don't want to annoy anyone my first day, i might just wear my (actually quite dirty) sneakers. Umm, how clean is clean? I have sorta new keds that I need to break in before dancing in as an alternative.

And heh, I'm sure you'll make it, pick a class on a day that you don't have to teach or something (one of your 'weekends'?)

Man, that studio photo is way overdue, I *already* have lines and gray hair :)

:P yay i've managed to drag my friends into my obsession instead of the other way around for once? xD

they're usually worried about their floors, and the ballroom club rule was that you weren't walking through the rain and snow and salt immediately before coming, so if it was inclement out you had to bring extra shoes or wear a different pair to tromp through the wet. i think as long as you don't leave stuff on the floor they're happy. you might want to check with them though.

there aren't actually any of those (days i don't work) anymore, and as i said, my schedule is about to resemble scrambled eggs. i'm thinking seriously about quitting, actually, except that i hate to leave them in the lurch. what's really difficult is that things shifted so that i only work when everyone else has got off work, which might soon be a problem, and dance classes are either in the middle of the day or during a time i work and am likely to still work. basically i haven't had a life since this schedule settled in. *mutters* i was especially pissed off last saturday because the wretched client decided to skip class without telling me, and hence i couldn't meet up with yaj but didn't get anything accomplished either. i was quite mad.

and i don't? xD

Umm i think we pretty much dragged each other into it. You just kept it up, and I'm a lazy ass :D

And okies, sounds good to me. Unless it rains, i'm home free. It says non-marking and tennis shoes are okay, but i don't have tennis shoes...

Yee, that's confusing. You should ask for overtime/night pay or something *grins*

Well, that's the point, it's horrendously overdue and we all need makeovers :) Is anyone coming home for Christmas though? Cheese? Ez?

hehe...well, another way to look at it is you're more responsible than i am. *wry grin*

technically sneakers have marking soles, most of them anyway, but you aren't likely to be turning any fast corners or anything so i doubt it'll be an issue. i usually don't have problems wearing sneakers places unless it's a squash court.

they didn't even let me have the pay for the class that didn't take place. which is making me mad. yeah i'm not really working for the money, but why should my pay be docked because my students were irresponsible? if i were working for the money i could have been counting on those few dollars to eat or something.

lol a makeover would be nice. and i didn't mean this christmas necessarily. and ez is permanently at home now, i think? she's got a job and everything.

Man you reply fast :) And I'm still missing you on IM. the ONE time you come on and i'masleep.*sighs*

And buh. Well, we'll see what happens. I think the black-soled ones are a no-no so that's out and I don't have many other options so I'll have to go for it.

*Hugs* that's too bad. Maybe they should include that clause in the class contract? That they pay the fees if they don't cancel before say, 24 hours. It's a pretty common thing.

Oh I see, didn't know that, she's all mastered and everything. mmm.

mm. keds aren't black soled though, i think. and heh, no one's online anymore. so i'm actually there sometimes but hiding because there's no one i want to talk to. not very often though.

there isn't a contract. >< which is kind of half the problem. i really don't have any rights here, which is irritating.

she's all mastered and everything
there're a lot of things i could say about that statement...but i won't. xD

Nah I wasn't talking about the keds. Whaddya mean no one's online anymore? At this moment, cheesy, ez and I are online. We're no-one? :D

And meh. Re-negotiate.

Ahh,that we should. Unfortunately, i'm looking hard for an air ticket which I will not have to blow 1600 USD on, so if I find it i'm there, otherwise it may be next june.
