Today, for the first time since I was 16, I took the last exam of a course and expect to receive a diploma in a few months. For the first time since I was 16, I completed an entire course of study, on schedule no less. It's such a simple thing, something anyone can do, but I'm - stupidly, ridiculously - a bit proud of myself.
While I hoped to have a job lined up ready for me to step into it by now, it looks like it's not going to work out that way. So, in the meantime, here are some things I want to do.
- I will learn how to invest in stocks
- I will learn how to say the 'One Ring to rule them all' rhyme in Quenya/Sindarin/whatever (I think it's Quenya) and maybe write it too
- I will clear out my room - and having all the books moved downstairs will help
- I will finish watching BSG
- I will read more a) fairy tales/mythology and the history behind them, b) poetry, c) good literature I have been recommended and never got around to (Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Toni Morrison come to mind *wince*) d) philosophy e) everything
- I will actually complete a knitting project
- I will complete the various cross stitch projects I have lying around
- I will go to the gym
- I will write something
- I will attempt to get stuff sold (but frankly I don't expect this to happen)
