just me geeking out in my corner, over here
so today at work a customer stood up to leave and i read his shirt. there, in typewriter font, were the words "Howard Roark laughed". which made me laugh, and say "Ayn Rand!" which started off a discussion of how hard it is to find someone who's read her, and about the movie of atlas shrugged that's coming out in 2010. guy said he bought the shirt from johngalt.com, which just made me laugh.
also at work, a girl pulled out her wallet to pay and i saw a wallet picture of edward cullen inside. i had to turn away to hide my amusement.
also, my dad passed me his old lg touchscreen phone last night because he got (another) iphone, and is not passing this one off to the office. it's fun. thinking of signing a data plan so i can read email and fic on the train. *embarrassed grin* downgrading my mobile plan at the same time, because i really don't use 100 minutes outbound calling and 500 sms each month, even with twitter; more like 30 min and 100 sms.
i managed to bring up gattaca in my genomics and proteomics class this morning, and got a couple of my classmates interested. yay!
i'm in a horrible, horrible mood; unloving and unlovely. been snipping and yelling at people all day.
i have 'crimson and clover' stuck in my head; over and over.
will hopefully be going to see the da vinci exhibition at the science centre tomorrow with the family. then there'll be crack at night with yaj and the gang. now if only i could study, this would shape up to be a good weekend.
