Why they ran
The 09's unit was not in fact a favored and advanced unit. It was the control in the X5 experiment. Supervised by the base commander Donald Lydecker since before birth (how he snuck in his and his dead wife’s DNA) The overly large unit had a member from each familial line. They were to be pushed harder and faster then the main stream forces to see if their were any weaknesses in the DNA or in the training itself. The unit was supposed to fail it purpose was to go until they literally fell down and died. The high number of surviving twins (all X5 had twins but not many pairs survived infanthood) The group was pushed so hard they had 3 to 4 years of training on other units.
The rumors of superiority were started by the nurses due to the low infant mortality and only one unit dying from the testing done in childhood. (X5-211)
Blu/Blue is actually a Y-003 a cub created from Command ignorance of the X series heat cycle. An X2 (the whole series went insane) triggered heat in an X1 (the bestial series) resulting in a slew of births. Blu is one of 5 surviving cubs, who made it past testing. She was placed in the control unit while her contemporaries were placed in various other units (some not informed they were in fact Y series opposed to X) The Y series is closely guarded (unknown to the control unit) because it proves that the X series can in fact propagate themselves. Blu was introduced to the control when she was 5 years old and ranked in the middle. She was a passive easy going personality, fiercely loyal (proven by her association with her sibling mate placed in another unit) and got along with everyone. She immediately became a mother/sister to all the smaller members and was a comforting encouragement to everyone from CO to baby. Blu was removed at age 7 for 6 months to be re-evaluated. During this time the unit began to decline. Blu was re-added after the 6 months instead of the 3 month isolation period she was scheduled for after re-assessment. The unit immediately began to improve again.
At age 9 Lydecker left to assess the other units and step up their training. He left a Capt. Oakes in charge. Capt. Oakes in a desire to further his own command and his own desire to see the units in action, began a stepped up training schedule that would showcase the units ability to withstand torture. He and four chosen operatives 'interfered' with the unit all while verbally abusing and tormenting them into a break of some kind.
Oakes did not understand that the control training was based around the unit seeing Command as a loving but harsh omnipotent Godfather figure. Command was always right, and command did care for them as useful tools and good soldiers. Their worth was tied into that belief. Command was the only one that was allowed to speak to them, the handlers were silent except in the classroom, it was believed the unit would develop alternate language or be sub-language because of this. It was a shock when he 5 year olds began to answer Commands barked orders with a yes sir. Oakes destroyed that belief leading to the escape. The sudden stress of the new 'training' as well as the destroyed belief foundation lead to the 'shakes' appearing.
Jack was the catalyst that lead to the escape. Jack/X5-417 was Eva's adored baby brother, the baby of the unit. He had been picked at more then the others and during a session with the shakes he stopped his own heart. Max and Eva witnessed Lydecker’s return to view the dissection. Betrayed by his dis-interest and seeing it as a abandonment of Command Zack fearing for the other babies (Max and Tig) decided to leave. He stood up to the guards and ordered the unit to run. Its unknown what would have happened next, Eva normally was the calm rational command is always right voice to Zack. She was leading he unit to the windows closest to the walls, however if she would have given the gun to Lydecker and responded to his commands wont ever be known. Lydecker chose to shoot her in the head seeing her as a threat. Zack shot him in the hand and Sugar knocked him unconscious. Zack began to give the signal to Escape/Evade only to have Blu jump over Tinga and Jondy into the dominant female position. She ordered Ben and Jayne to retrieve the training weapons for 'night training' and Max, Syl and Tac to steal the handlers coats. She announced her intention to be at the Lady's high place for the next year to meet anyone that wished to see her. Zack split the group into twos and had Zane, Himself, Sugar and Jayne break the windows. Blu was supposed to run with Jondy while Max ran with Brin, only to see Max lagging behind trying to convince Jace to come and run with them. Blu sent Brin along with Jondy and went with Max herself.
Ben ran with Tig, Ben was shot in the arm and to buy him time Tig turned and fought off the approaching handlers. During the fight he pulled the pins on a grenade one was wearing and killed himself and all the handlers Ben blames himself for not protecting him better
Boomer was paired with Miryam, she was killed by a sniper, Miryam was re-captured
Jondy and Brin escaped together towards the river, the ice broke under Brin who was swept downstream after holding her breath for 5 minutes
Jondy dragged a tazed and darted Zane under cover after separated from Sugar
Blu and Max were the last ones to leave the barracks, they circled wide to hopefully avoid any handlers returning. they met Seth running into the woods.
Vada was shot in the leg and told Jayne to go on without her, Jayne left but returned. He met up with the fleeing Seth, Blu and Max and while Jayne and Seth dragged Vada Blu and Max guarded them from the trees.
Zack witnessed Tig die and killed 5 handlers, although shot and tazed himself he killed 2 more, before collapsing Tinga dragged him away
Kavi was re-captured and knocked out, he woke up being transported back to base on a snow mobile and killed the handler and stole the machine.
The Pulse happened on June 1st 2009
Blu broke into Lydecker’s home 2 months after they had escaped. she wanted to trade the information on why they escaped for the release of the rest of the family from PSYOPS. (Blu knew that Lydecker would never give them up, but she had always known that she was going back to get them) Lydecker was drunk off his ass and let it slip about the clones/twins and their re-evaluation. Blu left to return the next day with Seth and Jayne to help her convince Lydecker to help her family. Blu had written proof of what Capt. Oakes was doing as well as video. She traded it to Lydecker who released Miryam and Jace immediately. The control unit had fled because Oakes and destroyed their mental conditioning and the experiment itself. Keeping the 2 escapees in PSYOPS was in fact cementing that message. the Clones stayed in PSYOPS another month until Blu could not stand it and began trying to kill Lydecker. The were released and the facility was moved and all units were conditioned to despise and loath the 09ers. the Clones never knew that it was an 09er that saved them from an additional 3 to 6 months of re-indoctrination.
Things that will happen
Sugar will reveal to Lydecker that he knew that one of his unit mates smelled like Lydecker and another his wife, that he hated Lydecker not for being a governmental prick but for being a failure as a father and human male.
The feral unit works their way to the mountians and on the way meets up with a retired (Admiral, General, Col.) of special ops. He takes them in and continues their training as well as keeps an ear out in the government circles.
the feral’s never stay any where very long, but do tend to circle around the Generals place
The unit has it first heat, Zack moves on Max pissing off Ben, Blu is turned down by Ben, Zane hits on Jondy and Kavi on Vada, either way no pairing stays together and they all find it really awkward. to the point most refuse to ever consider the other a partner again
Ben gave Blu her name (shaved, pale, and in grey her huge blue eyes stood out) Blu has been in love with him forever. She is hopeless for him. Blu is not as beautiful as her sisters due to her animalistic father, the heat cements in her mind that males wont want her outside of heat. She also sees Ben drifting to Max and refuses to get between them.
Tinga meets and later marries her husband (James Smith) She has Case/Chase
One girl gets pregnant in her first heat (the whole point of heat is to be excessively fertile) she cant bond with it and Sugar steps up the plate (Poss. Brin)
The Pre-Red Phage Jobs
A few of the unit decide to remain soldiers they work a few mercenary. jobs (Ben, Zack, Seth, Jondy sometimes rarely)(Blu, Syl, Zane, Vada, Jayne) one job in s. America reveals a lab called the Red Phage a biochemical lab for make up
Due to ravel through a female Jaguar in heat territory, he females cycles become messed up. on heir return they trigger everyone’s heat at once.
Messed up heat results in Max, Blu, Jondy and Vada becoming pregnant.
Kavi is taken by unknown soldiers. revealed to be Red Phage, they though he was Manticore
The entire unit goes to get him the pregnant. girls stay at base camp with sugar, Tinga, 2 pilots, 2 medics and one local contact sent by their general.
the red phage captures the base camp. they decide to use them for testing, the females to breed new soldiers and the humans to see if talents the Manticore breed soldiers have can be transferred. Only one human survives the pilot Zoë. she gains some of the healing found in the X5's
Kavi before he dies escapes and infects the rest of the facility. leading the site to be scheduled for cleansing/fire bombed
Red Phage Virus - The red death is not in fact a virus but a venom that mimics what a virus looks like under a microscope. It shared by fluids and attacks on contact but works better if it is put directly into the blood stream. The venom causes the body to un-heal its self to reopen wounds. It travels to the brain and attacks causing fever, hallucinations, spasms, and light sensitivity. Its nicknamed the red death because the stress of caring the venom causes blood vessels to burst and rupture, making the mouth, nose and eyes bleed and the skin to turn red. the skin becomes so broken that it will rip and the slightest movement. it has a kill rate of 6 hours maximum for a human.
the other half of the unit has been trying to get in/ find the facility. they manage to get in but cant touch anyone due to the sickness. Zane gets water tanks into the jeep and they transfer them there. Jondy gets the idea to use gelatin to keep everyone stable not bleeding and not contagious (the poison can be transferred through water) The unit is in Mexico City at this point, Max is the one that begins to heal. They use her blood and pump some into the other infected. Gradually most begin to heal.
Secondary infection, Zack, Ben, Tinga again, Brin and Tac get sick
Tinga is to far gone to save. she offers herself to Lydecker for a trade to see Miriyam or Jace for her body and the deadly virus it contains. Lydecker agrees never realizing that Miriyam still wants to get out. She/Miriyam runs and Tinga blows herself and the virus/poison up.
What happened due to the virus
All the girls lose their babies because of the virus,
Kavi and Tinga die.
Case/Chase is adopted into the generals family
Zack is nursed back to health by Zoë and goes all squishy for her
Max and Ben break up, they need friends and siblings more then lovers. Ben notices Blu but she refuses to believe what he says.
Ben will eventually use one of Blu's heats to get her pregnant and make her his mate. she still thinks he will leave her
Blu old sibling Mate will show up (named Red?) and Ben gets crazy jealous
Ben has a crazy torture thing for guys who hurt kids or he hunts down ex-Capt. Oakes and unleashes Dexter like fury, (his crazy teeth thing) Blu helps, watches and keeps him from losing it.
Brin will have to go back to Manticore due to Progeria.
Some will go with her and cause chaos
clones will meet the captured children of the 09ers
Clones will see Bens handy work on Oakes and give Alec u are secretly a crazy mo-fo looks
Red Returns
Blu was one of the surviving Y-series (of which there were only about 9 to begin
with) After testing and before she was integrated into a group there were only
about 4-5 left. 2 were integrated into x-series groups and never told they
were different. 3 were, Named Blu by her group (beta by her siblings) Red the
alpha male, and Lo the smaller boy. These three were separated and put into
groups, they were returned to each other when the set was pulled for testing at
age 6-7. red has highly evolved senses, a quicker mature rate and feral
instincts, while he does look human (cat eyes, pointed ears and light skin
pigmentation spots) he has the mentality of a caged feral cat. Red is
eventfully the head of his own group, by beating down the chosen leader (an x-5)
he leads Renfro's favored hunting team and plays the dumb animal for her. he
does it because he is looking for his sibling/pack. He does not consider any of
the x-series his family they and humans are to be used and manipulated to get
what he wants. which is Blu and Lo back with him. Red gets himself sent out
to search for his sister and decided on finding her to keep her and stay out of
Manticore. He proceeds to kill his unit of 10. (He doesn’t get all of them,
only about 5) He uses things he stole from the Labs at the base to trigger Blu's
heat much to close to her recovery from the Red Phage.
Red integrated himself with the 09's saying he had escaped alone and missed
his sister. the only ones that really disliked him were Ben and Jayne. But
Jayne disliked everyone and Ben was jealous so not to be believed.
Red started adding drugs to the cocktails that most of the 09;s were taking to cause instincts and paranoia. He finally triggered Blu's heat after she had a huge fight with Zack about his leadership. Red's plan was to knock up Blu and leave with her. He believed that the fight broke the family bonds (he did not understand social interactions or family just basic pack instincts) and being the sire of her cub he would get all her loyalty.
Ben figured out Red's plan and while the other brother proceeded to kick his ass (Sugar and Jayne kill him) Ben went to find Blu. Ben had been trying to get closer to Blu and wanted her to be stuck to him. He took advantage of her heat. Blu could never remain upset at the father/sire of her cubs and Ben needed her.
Blu was broken hearted that he would do that (although later she admits that she might have done the same thing if it meant keeping Ben) She did something she called taking a walk-going out and refusing all contact and dropping off her siblings radar for about 3-4 months. Ben just about lost his mind.
This is when Seth disappeared and Max goes to Seattle.
Ben starts up his tattoo and kill fest. Instead of priests he goes after betrayers people who broke promises or vows. Blu eventually shows up in Seattle to meet up with Max and she and Ben have it out on Logan’s roof with Manticore closing in. They end up destroying the retrieval team and flipping off Lydecker as they escape.
Blu gives birth to twin boys.
At some point, poss. early in her pregnancy. Brin gets protegia (the fast aging disease) She has to return to a Manticore facility to get it treated. When she goes and turns herself in, the commander kidnaps Chase, Blu and Zack’s daughter and one other child. Blu and Jondy (both pregnant, thus unable to be reconditioned) and one boy also turn themselves in. The commander (neither Renfro or Lydecker) has a very small contingent and keeps the fact that he has 5 adult 09's and their children a secret. He wants to brainwash them into being loyal then reveal his triumph. Brin’s treatments are slowed down so that the 09's wont leave.
Ben and Zack are there and let loose in the general population, but ostracized due to the escape, the girls were supposed to be kept separate but that never really happens.
Things that happen
Blu/Zacks girl is only a few months younger then Chase and very outspoken. she talks back tot he trainers and one hits her, she warns him that if he does it again he’s pulling back 3 and 1/2 fingers. he tazers her badly. when he goes to do it again Zack backhands him into a wall.
The girl(Blu/Zack- Allie?)speaks up to a adult male x-5 and he freaks out and backhands her into a wall. Zack (who is Sire, while comfortable with young children at this point, Ben is Daddy) runs across the training grounds and shoves his hand into the x-5 chest, he holds onto the males heart and warns him if he approaches his cubs again next time he/Zack will squeeze. Zack drops the bleeding x-5 and lets himself be tazered and brought to psy-ops. Blu and Jondy both sneak in to keep him company and sane. Ben stays there to keep an eye on Brin, who none of them could get to until now.
Blu at one point crawls through overhead heating/crawl spaces to get to the kids. She ends up sleeping in the same bed as her daughter and telling fairytales to the unit that the little girl had been placed in. Two/three of this unit become very loyal to the 09's and see Blu's girl as their new commander.
At one point the whole group (all x-series) are on the parade ground practicing hand to hand. During which Chase slips away and approaches his Uncle Ben or Aunt Jondy and hugs them only to realize it was a clone.
During training in the wood. Zack not trusted by his 'new' unit is placed as a guard in capture the flag. He knocks out the prisoners and howls and all the 09's in Manticore converge on his position. The x-5 he knocked out observe the 09's family behavior, hugging and Ben and Blu making out. Teasing each other, the kids eventually show up. Chase who is having a harder time latches onto his Uncle Zack and gets carried around for a while. Blu’s little girl bounces around babbling away and hugging everyone. She shows off what she is learning and had dragged one of her unit mates a picked on little one (no ideas yet) over to show her new friend off. Ben proceeds to help her and her new friend learn a better way to disable a larger attacker. The group eventually scatters back and Zack reveals that he knew they were awake and just didn’t really care about their observation or presence. (Your not unit, your Manticore someday I hope you learn the difference, but I have my family to worry over and I am sorry but I cant teach you)
Brin is still being re-programmed and healed, but Jondy has been hacking into the outgoing mail and learns the Lydecker has found out about them and that they need to leave. Ben and Blu 'convince' a lab tech to give them the rest of the treatment. Jondy gets Chase, Zack carries Brin. Ben goes to get Blu's little girl, only to find she will not leave without her 'unit' Blu goes back and carries one while Ben grabs Blu’s girl and the other (he might make one run and carry a third I don’t know how many I want at this point) the group gets away and blows up the commanders office. They are airlifted by Zacks girlfriend Zoë.
Zoë is eventually married to Zack. She and Tinga’s husband, Jace Lab Tech and Sugars’ biker (guy or girl?) are the only human mates that stick around. A few others have come and gone. There is also the General (not really a general a retired Col. who cares for them and totally babies Brin and Zane) his old unit a bunch of grumpy old men with machine guns, and their 'kids' who are a collection of young soldiers and lab techs that were scattered by the pulse and sent to the now almost defunct Montana base.
The base itself houses old weapons that due to the pulse have no guidance and are still armed but useless at this time. Most of the soldiers here are brand new or really old, The Col was in charge but retired after the pulse. He was in special ops. and has a lot of friends still in the government. he is the one that eventually discovers the Cult in the government.
The General (Col. Jack Evenender) is the one that helps the kids get some of their mercenary work, He gets it by contacting his military friends who want things done but cant get them through government channels. He was the one that got them the Red Phage job and was crushed when they got sick. It was what led to him searching out all information of the group and its connections.
After the transgenic’s take over terminal City, the government sends White, White is bumped down when col. Jack requests to become the liaison with the transgenic’s (called in favors) He has the 09's line up in front at perfect military mode with Lydecker (who could never get that) and they hold it until other military guys leave they the girls all squeal and call him general Jackie or grandpa. The other x-5 go all bug eyed.
Bens Mind/Thoughts during Red’s Return
for all her love and trust for been, Blu never could trust anyone with her heart, she had a mental block un-climable by anyone. not worthy like ink on her skin. Ben never saw it until to late and his attempts were to small.
he had seen her as the lesser sister, outsider
as the little mother and protector of the small
the one who cooled his rage and turned the rabid impulses from innocents
who had danced under moons and in woods around fires as well as better then siblings with longer limbs
as she stood silent as he and max circled each other
max adored Ben, as he loved her but the love was a cool comfortable thing, best friends and dreamers they had sweet first love
Blu loved Ben like sunshine aware that she would be burned and walking at noon anyway. she knew his shadows and guilt and scars and loved him best in his broken places something powerful about being loved just as he was.
max wanted Ben to stop hunting be soft and normal she wanted someone he only really showed to family. when she got pregnant they were more scared then pleased, then realizing their differences at last. the cubs loss and sickness cemented the distance. max needed someone to fight against someone to be the queen bitch, not as a soft baby girl, somone to grow up for. ben needed somone who saw the all of him a=loved all and drew out his own fire.
ben saw Blu so sick herself bereft by the loss of her so much desired cubling and saw the still ceaseless trying to help her family. saw how she did not talk only acted gave what they needed quietly and without them noticing.
Ben fell in love with his nurse quietly and without her noticing.
ben finally drew the ire of his big brothers (Jayne, Sugar, Seth, Zane) who knew she loved him, thought he was confused or lonely or stupid using her
ben tried to win her over, spoke and sighed and roared and managed to touch her body but not her heart
he didn’t realize at first, not until red returned, vicious red and his lost boys and sharp smile, who spoke twin to her and got her smile and soft eyes and loudest laugh and wicked humor she tried to hide.
ben hated red. hated him as siblings laughed, hated him as siblings grew nervous, hated him as they realized that red wanted his mate Sister back and cruelly triggers her heat to make her go.
ben overpowered Sugar to get to her did it on purpose. got her pregnant. with his twins
blu was broken hearted just a coveted toy breeder thing she went for a walk and disappeared for a year.
ben knew heart break, carved apologies in captured criminals, howled at moons and burned army bases, he hunted her and his teeny twins to Manticore’s gates and hovered waiting.
ben finally knew how to capture blu his lady, no words just actions quiet and unnoticed.
blu thought she saw ben kiss max and ran again to the trap of the Cult.

Brin and Sugar/Human - First heat pregnancy, but Brin gave up the baby (Bastet?) to Sugar/Jayne - little boy
Max, Blu, Tinga, Vada - Due to a messed up hormone cycle the group went into heat early and got knocked up. None of the babies survived as these were the ones that got taken by the Red Phage.
Zack and Zoë/human pilot - little girl Zena? or Tig
Jace and Vincent/human tech - (Still in Manticore) Max rescues her she names her son Max.
Seth - has a son (Egyptian name poss. Bastet or Set) left in the care of blu when he went to investigate something’s in Seattle. Max was his closest hunting partner (all the family has a paired partner) Seth disappeared (instead of death return to Manticore hidden by Renfro) Max went undercover to Seattle to find him thus the merge into the regular series. She did like Logan and thought he could help, only to later find he was the one that got Seth caught. (max is closest to Seth after Jondy and Blu because he is the older brother she never slept with and rescued from Manticore in the beginning)
Vada and Tac - (Vada was originally Kida and Tac Milo from Atlantis) They have an infant boy and Tac is the primary caregiver.
Jondy and Zane - may or may not have a kid (I am thinking of changing Jondy from Alice to somone a little softer looking) after they survive the red Phage Jondy or Zane goes to the other and asks to get knocked up /knock the other up. As partners (these are just 2 siblings that work really well together not mates) they don’t ever want to lose the other.
Both Miryam and Jace are going to be removed from Manticore. Jace was pregnant and max convinces her to run. so Miryam as the last sibling was moved to tech work (How the group got a lot of files) They had not seen or heard of her in a year and a half. Tinga offered to trade herself and the virus/fetus she carried just to see her sister. The others pull a snatch and grab and Tinga blows herself up.

Why they ran
The 09's unit was not in fact a favored and advanced unit. It was the control in the X5 experiment. Supervised by the base commander Donald Lydecker since before birth (how he snuck in his and his dead wife’s DNA) The overly large unit had a member from each familial line. They were to be pushed harder and faster then the main stream forces to see if their were any weaknesses in the DNA or in the training itself. The unit was supposed to fail it purpose was to go until they literally fell down and died. The high number of surviving twins (all X5 had twins but not many pairs survived infanthood) The group was pushed so hard they had 3 to 4 years of training on other units.
The rumors of superiority were started by the nurses due to the low infant mortality and only one unit dying from the testing done in childhood. (X5-211)
Blu/Blue is actually a Y-003 a cub created from Command ignorance of the X series heat cycle. An X2 (the whole series went insane) triggered heat in an X1 (the bestial series) resulting in a slew of births. Blu is one of 5 surviving cubs, who made it past testing. She was placed in the control unit while her contemporaries were placed in various other units (some not informed they were in fact Y series opposed to X) The Y series is closely guarded (unknown to the control unit) because it proves that the X series can in fact propagate themselves. Blu was introduced to the control when she was 5 years old and ranked in the middle. She was a passive easy going personality, fiercely loyal (proven by her association with her sibling mate placed in another unit) and got along with everyone. She immediately became a mother/sister to all the smaller members and was a comforting encouragement to everyone from CO to baby. Blu was removed at age 7 for 6 months to be re-evaluated. During this time the unit began to decline. Blu was re-added after the 6 months instead of the 3 month isolation period she was scheduled for after re-assessment. The unit immediately began to improve again.
At age 9 Lydecker left to assess the other units and step up their training. He left a Capt. Oakes in charge. Capt. Oakes in a desire to further his own command and his own desire to see the units in action, began a stepped up training schedule that would showcase the units ability to withstand torture. He and four chosen operatives 'interfered' with the unit all while verbally abusing and tormenting them into a break of some kind.
Oakes did not understand that the control training was based around the unit seeing Command as a loving but harsh omnipotent Godfather figure. Command was always right, and command did care for them as useful tools and good soldiers. Their worth was tied into that belief. Command was the only one that was allowed to speak to them, the handlers were silent except in the classroom, it was believed the unit would develop alternate language or be sub-language because of this. It was a shock when he 5 year olds began to answer Commands barked orders with a yes sir. Oakes destroyed that belief leading to the escape. The sudden stress of the new 'training' as well as the destroyed belief foundation lead to the 'shakes' appearing.
Jack was the catalyst that lead to the escape. Jack/X5-417 was Eva's adored baby brother, the baby of the unit. He had been picked at more then the others and during a session with the shakes he stopped his own heart. Max and Eva witnessed Lydecker’s return to view the dissection. Betrayed by his dis-interest and seeing it as a abandonment of Command Zack fearing for the other babies (Max and Tig) decided to leave. He stood up to the guards and ordered the unit to run. Its unknown what would have happened next, Eva normally was the calm rational command is always right voice to Zack. She was leading he unit to the windows closest to the walls, however if she would have given the gun to Lydecker and responded to his commands wont ever be known. Lydecker chose to shoot her in the head seeing her as a threat. Zack shot him in the hand and Sugar knocked him unconscious. Zack began to give the signal to Escape/Evade only to have Blu jump over Tinga and Jondy into the dominant female position. She ordered Ben and Jayne to retrieve the training weapons for 'night training' and Max, Syl and Tac to steal the handlers coats. She announced her intention to be at the Lady's high place for the next year to meet anyone that wished to see her. Zack split the group into twos and had Zane, Himself, Sugar and Jayne break the windows. Blu was supposed to run with Jondy while Max ran with Brin, only to see Max lagging behind trying to convince Jace to come and run with them. Blu sent Brin along with Jondy and went with Max herself.
Ben ran with Tig, Ben was shot in the arm and to buy him time Tig turned and fought off the approaching handlers. During the fight he pulled the pins on a grenade one was wearing and killed himself and all the handlers Ben blames himself for not protecting him better
Boomer was paired with Miryam, she was killed by a sniper, Miryam was re-captured
Jondy and Brin escaped together towards the river, the ice broke under Brin who was swept downstream after holding her breath for 5 minutes
Jondy dragged a tazed and darted Zane under cover after separated from Sugar
Blu and Max were the last ones to leave the barracks, they circled wide to hopefully avoid any handlers returning. they met Seth running into the woods.
Vada was shot in the leg and told Jayne to go on without her, Jayne left but returned. He met up with the fleeing Seth, Blu and Max and while Jayne and Seth dragged Vada Blu and Max guarded them from the trees.
Zack witnessed Tig die and killed 5 handlers, although shot and tazed himself he killed 2 more, before collapsing Tinga dragged him away
Kavi was re-captured and knocked out, he woke up being transported back to base on a snow mobile and killed the handler and stole the machine.
The Pulse happened on June 1st 2009
Blu broke into Lydecker’s home 2 months after they had escaped. she wanted to trade the information on why they escaped for the release of the rest of the family from PSYOPS. (Blu knew that Lydecker would never give them up, but she had always known that she was going back to get them) Lydecker was drunk off his ass and let it slip about the clones/twins and their re-evaluation. Blu left to return the next day with Seth and Jayne to help her convince Lydecker to help her family. Blu had written proof of what Capt. Oakes was doing as well as video. She traded it to Lydecker who released Miryam and Jace immediately. The control unit had fled because Oakes and destroyed their mental conditioning and the experiment itself. Keeping the 2 escapees in PSYOPS was in fact cementing that message. the Clones stayed in PSYOPS another month until Blu could not stand it and began trying to kill Lydecker. The were released and the facility was moved and all units were conditioned to despise and loath the 09ers. the Clones never knew that it was an 09er that saved them from an additional 3 to 6 months of re-indoctrination.
Things that will happen
Sugar will reveal to Lydecker that he knew that one of his unit mates smelled like Lydecker and another his wife, that he hated Lydecker not for being a governmental prick but for being a failure as a father and human male.
The feral unit works their way to the mountians and on the way meets up with a retired (Admiral, General, Col.) of special ops. He takes them in and continues their training as well as keeps an ear out in the government circles.
the feral’s never stay any where very long, but do tend to circle around the Generals place
The unit has it first heat, Zack moves on Max pissing off Ben, Blu is turned down by Ben, Zane hits on Jondy and Kavi on Vada, either way no pairing stays together and they all find it really awkward. to the point most refuse to ever consider the other a partner again
Ben gave Blu her name (shaved, pale, and in grey her huge blue eyes stood out) Blu has been in love with him forever. She is hopeless for him. Blu is not as beautiful as her sisters due to her animalistic father, the heat cements in her mind that males wont want her outside of heat. She also sees Ben drifting to Max and refuses to get between them.
Tinga meets and later marries her husband (James Smith) She has Case/Chase
One girl gets pregnant in her first heat (the whole point of heat is to be excessively fertile) she cant bond with it and Sugar steps up the plate (Poss. Brin)
The Pre-Red Phage Jobs
A few of the unit decide to remain soldiers they work a few mercenary. jobs (Ben, Zack, Seth, Jondy sometimes rarely)(Blu, Syl, Zane, Vada, Jayne) one job in s. America reveals a lab called the Red Phage a biochemical lab for make up
Due to ravel through a female Jaguar in heat territory, he females cycles become messed up. on heir return they trigger everyone’s heat at once.
Messed up heat results in Max, Blu, Jondy and Vada becoming pregnant.
Kavi is taken by unknown soldiers. revealed to be Red Phage, they though he was Manticore
The entire unit goes to get him the pregnant. girls stay at base camp with sugar, Tinga, 2 pilots, 2 medics and one local contact sent by their general.
the red phage captures the base camp. they decide to use them for testing, the females to breed new soldiers and the humans to see if talents the Manticore breed soldiers have can be transferred. Only one human survives the pilot Zoë. she gains some of the healing found in the X5's
Kavi before he dies escapes and infects the rest of the facility. leading the site to be scheduled for cleansing/fire bombed
Red Phage Virus - The red death is not in fact a virus but a venom that mimics what a virus looks like under a microscope. It shared by fluids and attacks on contact but works better if it is put directly into the blood stream. The venom causes the body to un-heal its self to reopen wounds. It travels to the brain and attacks causing fever, hallucinations, spasms, and light sensitivity. Its nicknamed the red death because the stress of caring the venom causes blood vessels to burst and rupture, making the mouth, nose and eyes bleed and the skin to turn red. the skin becomes so broken that it will rip and the slightest movement. it has a kill rate of 6 hours maximum for a human.
the other half of the unit has been trying to get in/ find the facility. they manage to get in but cant touch anyone due to the sickness. Zane gets water tanks into the jeep and they transfer them there. Jondy gets the idea to use gelatin to keep everyone stable not bleeding and not contagious (the poison can be transferred through water) The unit is in Mexico City at this point, Max is the one that begins to heal. They use her blood and pump some into the other infected. Gradually most begin to heal.
Secondary infection, Zack, Ben, Tinga again, Brin and Tac get sick
Tinga is to far gone to save. she offers herself to Lydecker for a trade to see Miriyam or Jace for her body and the deadly virus it contains. Lydecker agrees never realizing that Miriyam still wants to get out. She/Miriyam runs and Tinga blows herself and the virus/poison up.
What happened due to the virus
All the girls lose their babies because of the virus,
Kavi and Tinga die.
Case/Chase is adopted into the generals family
Zack is nursed back to health by Zoë and goes all squishy for her
Max and Ben break up, they need friends and siblings more then lovers. Ben notices Blu but she refuses to believe what he says.
Ben will eventually use one of Blu's heats to get her pregnant and make her his mate. she still thinks he will leave her
Blu old sibling Mate will show up (named Red?) and Ben gets crazy jealous
Ben has a crazy torture thing for guys who hurt kids or he hunts down ex-Capt. Oakes and unleashes Dexter like fury, (his crazy teeth thing) Blu helps, watches and keeps him from losing it.
Brin will have to go back to Manticore due to Progeria.
Some will go with her and cause chaos
clones will meet the captured children of the 09ers
Clones will see Bens handy work on Oakes and give Alec u are secretly a crazy mo-fo looks
Red Returns
Blu was one of the surviving Y-series (of which there were only about 9 to begin
with) After testing and before she was integrated into a group there were only
about 4-5 left. 2 were integrated into x-series groups and never told they
were different. 3 were, Named Blu by her group (beta by her siblings) Red the
alpha male, and Lo the smaller boy. These three were separated and put into
groups, they were returned to each other when the set was pulled for testing at
age 6-7. red has highly evolved senses, a quicker mature rate and feral
instincts, while he does look human (cat eyes, pointed ears and light skin
pigmentation spots) he has the mentality of a caged feral cat. Red is
eventfully the head of his own group, by beating down the chosen leader (an x-5)
he leads Renfro's favored hunting team and plays the dumb animal for her. he
does it because he is looking for his sibling/pack. He does not consider any of
the x-series his family they and humans are to be used and manipulated to get
what he wants. which is Blu and Lo back with him. Red gets himself sent out
to search for his sister and decided on finding her to keep her and stay out of
Manticore. He proceeds to kill his unit of 10. (He doesn’t get all of them,
only about 5) He uses things he stole from the Labs at the base to trigger Blu's
heat much to close to her recovery from the Red Phage.
Red integrated himself with the 09's saying he had escaped alone and missed
his sister. the only ones that really disliked him were Ben and Jayne. But
Jayne disliked everyone and Ben was jealous so not to be believed.
Red started adding drugs to the cocktails that most of the 09;s were taking to cause instincts and paranoia. He finally triggered Blu's heat after she had a huge fight with Zack about his leadership. Red's plan was to knock up Blu and leave with her. He believed that the fight broke the family bonds (he did not understand social interactions or family just basic pack instincts) and being the sire of her cub he would get all her loyalty.
Ben figured out Red's plan and while the other brother proceeded to kick his ass (Sugar and Jayne kill him) Ben went to find Blu. Ben had been trying to get closer to Blu and wanted her to be stuck to him. He took advantage of her heat. Blu could never remain upset at the father/sire of her cubs and Ben needed her.
Blu was broken hearted that he would do that (although later she admits that she might have done the same thing if it meant keeping Ben) She did something she called taking a walk-going out and refusing all contact and dropping off her siblings radar for about 3-4 months. Ben just about lost his mind.
This is when Seth disappeared and Max goes to Seattle.
Ben starts up his tattoo and kill fest. Instead of priests he goes after betrayers people who broke promises or vows. Blu eventually shows up in Seattle to meet up with Max and she and Ben have it out on Logan’s roof with Manticore closing in. They end up destroying the retrieval team and flipping off Lydecker as they escape.
Blu gives birth to twin boys.
At some point, poss. early in her pregnancy. Brin gets protegia (the fast aging disease) She has to return to a Manticore facility to get it treated. When she goes and turns herself in, the commander kidnaps Chase, Blu and Zack’s daughter and one other child. Blu and Jondy (both pregnant, thus unable to be reconditioned) and one boy also turn themselves in. The commander (neither Renfro or Lydecker) has a very small contingent and keeps the fact that he has 5 adult 09's and their children a secret. He wants to brainwash them into being loyal then reveal his triumph. Brin’s treatments are slowed down so that the 09's wont leave.
Ben and Zack are there and let loose in the general population, but ostracized due to the escape, the girls were supposed to be kept separate but that never really happens.
Things that happen
Blu/Zacks girl is only a few months younger then Chase and very outspoken. she talks back tot he trainers and one hits her, she warns him that if he does it again he’s pulling back 3 and 1/2 fingers. he tazers her badly. when he goes to do it again Zack backhands him into a wall.
The girl(Blu/Zack- Allie?)speaks up to a adult male x-5 and he freaks out and backhands her into a wall. Zack (who is Sire, while comfortable with young children at this point, Ben is Daddy) runs across the training grounds and shoves his hand into the x-5 chest, he holds onto the males heart and warns him if he approaches his cubs again next time he/Zack will squeeze. Zack drops the bleeding x-5 and lets himself be tazered and brought to psy-ops. Blu and Jondy both sneak in to keep him company and sane. Ben stays there to keep an eye on Brin, who none of them could get to until now.
Blu at one point crawls through overhead heating/crawl spaces to get to the kids. She ends up sleeping in the same bed as her daughter and telling fairytales to the unit that the little girl had been placed in. Two/three of this unit become very loyal to the 09's and see Blu's girl as their new commander.
At one point the whole group (all x-series) are on the parade ground practicing hand to hand. During which Chase slips away and approaches his Uncle Ben or Aunt Jondy and hugs them only to realize it was a clone.
During training in the wood. Zack not trusted by his 'new' unit is placed as a guard in capture the flag. He knocks out the prisoners and howls and all the 09's in Manticore converge on his position. The x-5 he knocked out observe the 09's family behavior, hugging and Ben and Blu making out. Teasing each other, the kids eventually show up. Chase who is having a harder time latches onto his Uncle Zack and gets carried around for a while. Blu’s little girl bounces around babbling away and hugging everyone. She shows off what she is learning and had dragged one of her unit mates a picked on little one (no ideas yet) over to show her new friend off. Ben proceeds to help her and her new friend learn a better way to disable a larger attacker. The group eventually scatters back and Zack reveals that he knew they were awake and just didn’t really care about their observation or presence. (Your not unit, your Manticore someday I hope you learn the difference, but I have my family to worry over and I am sorry but I cant teach you)
Brin is still being re-programmed and healed, but Jondy has been hacking into the outgoing mail and learns the Lydecker has found out about them and that they need to leave. Ben and Blu 'convince' a lab tech to give them the rest of the treatment. Jondy gets Chase, Zack carries Brin. Ben goes to get Blu's little girl, only to find she will not leave without her 'unit' Blu goes back and carries one while Ben grabs Blu’s girl and the other (he might make one run and carry a third I don’t know how many I want at this point) the group gets away and blows up the commanders office. They are airlifted by Zacks girlfriend Zoë.
Zoë is eventually married to Zack. She and Tinga’s husband, Jace Lab Tech and Sugars’ biker (guy or girl?) are the only human mates that stick around. A few others have come and gone. There is also the General (not really a general a retired Col. who cares for them and totally babies Brin and Zane) his old unit a bunch of grumpy old men with machine guns, and their 'kids' who are a collection of young soldiers and lab techs that were scattered by the pulse and sent to the now almost defunct Montana base.
The base itself houses old weapons that due to the pulse have no guidance and are still armed but useless at this time. Most of the soldiers here are brand new or really old, The Col was in charge but retired after the pulse. He was in special ops. and has a lot of friends still in the government. he is the one that eventually discovers the Cult in the government.
The General (Col. Jack Evenender) is the one that helps the kids get some of their mercenary work, He gets it by contacting his military friends who want things done but cant get them through government channels. He was the one that got them the Red Phage job and was crushed when they got sick. It was what led to him searching out all information of the group and its connections.
After the transgenic’s take over terminal City, the government sends White, White is bumped down when col. Jack requests to become the liaison with the transgenic’s (called in favors) He has the 09's line up in front at perfect military mode with Lydecker (who could never get that) and they hold it until other military guys leave they the girls all squeal and call him general Jackie or grandpa. The other x-5 go all bug eyed.
Bens Mind/Thoughts during Red’s Return
for all her love and trust for been, Blu never could trust anyone with her heart, she had a mental block un-climable by anyone. not worthy like ink on her skin. Ben never saw it until to late and his attempts were to small.
he had seen her as the lesser sister, outsider
as the little mother and protector of the small
the one who cooled his rage and turned the rabid impulses from innocents
who had danced under moons and in woods around fires as well as better then siblings with longer limbs
as she stood silent as he and max circled each other
max adored Ben, as he loved her but the love was a cool comfortable thing, best friends and dreamers they had sweet first love
Blu loved Ben like sunshine aware that she would be burned and walking at noon anyway. she knew his shadows and guilt and scars and loved him best in his broken places something powerful about being loved just as he was.
max wanted Ben to stop hunting be soft and normal she wanted someone he only really showed to family. when she got pregnant they were more scared then pleased, then realizing their differences at last. the cubs loss and sickness cemented the distance. max needed someone to fight against someone to be the queen bitch, not as a soft baby girl, somone to grow up for. ben needed somone who saw the all of him a=loved all and drew out his own fire.
ben saw Blu so sick herself bereft by the loss of her so much desired cubling and saw the still ceaseless trying to help her family. saw how she did not talk only acted gave what they needed quietly and without them noticing.
Ben fell in love with his nurse quietly and without her noticing.
ben finally drew the ire of his big brothers (Jayne, Sugar, Seth, Zane) who knew she loved him, thought he was confused or lonely or stupid using her
ben tried to win her over, spoke and sighed and roared and managed to touch her body but not her heart
he didn’t realize at first, not until red returned, vicious red and his lost boys and sharp smile, who spoke twin to her and got her smile and soft eyes and loudest laugh and wicked humor she tried to hide.
ben hated red. hated him as siblings laughed, hated him as siblings grew nervous, hated him as they realized that red wanted his mate Sister back and cruelly triggers her heat to make her go.
ben overpowered Sugar to get to her did it on purpose. got her pregnant. with his twins
blu was broken hearted just a coveted toy breeder thing she went for a walk and disappeared for a year.
ben knew heart break, carved apologies in captured criminals, howled at moons and burned army bases, he hunted her and his teeny twins to Manticore’s gates and hovered waiting.
ben finally knew how to capture blu his lady, no words just actions quiet and unnoticed.
blu thought she saw ben kiss max and ran again to the trap of the Cult.

Max, Blu, Tinga, Vada - Due to a messed up hormone cycle the group went into heat early and got knocked up. None of the babies survived as these were the ones that got taken by the Red Phage.
Zack and Zoë/human pilot - little girl Zena? or Tig
Jace and Vincent/human tech - (Still in Manticore) Max rescues her she names her son Max.
Seth - has a son (Egyptian name poss. Bastet or Set) left in the care of blu when he went to investigate something’s in Seattle. Max was his closest hunting partner (all the family has a paired partner) Seth disappeared (instead of death return to Manticore hidden by Renfro) Max went undercover to Seattle to find him thus the merge into the regular series. She did like Logan and thought he could help, only to later find he was the one that got Seth caught. (max is closest to Seth after Jondy and Blu because he is the older brother she never slept with and rescued from Manticore in the beginning)
Vada and Tac - (Vada was originally Kida and Tac Milo from Atlantis) They have an infant boy and Tac is the primary caregiver.
Jondy and Zane - may or may not have a kid (I am thinking of changing Jondy from Alice to somone a little softer looking) after they survive the red Phage Jondy or Zane goes to the other and asks to get knocked up /knock the other up. As partners (these are just 2 siblings that work really well together not mates) they don’t ever want to lose the other.
Both Miryam and Jace are going to be removed from Manticore. Jace was pregnant and max convinces her to run. so Miryam as the last sibling was moved to tech work (How the group got a lot of files) They had not seen or heard of her in a year and a half. Tinga offered to trade herself and the virus/fetus she carried just to see her sister. The others pull a snatch and grab and Tinga blows herself up.
