So I'm still a little miffed about the whole weight/measurement thing this morning. Trying not to dwell on it. I'm forming a plan.
Three and a half months until Djali's wedding, 4 months and a few days until mine. If I want to drop the weight I do, that's about 5 pounds a month, which seems kinda steep but may be possible (MAY). I have to remember that muscle is denser, so I may not drop the pounds, but drop inches, I'll be happy with that ;) But I know I haven't put on 15 pounds of muscle ;p I went to the store, stocked up on some yogurt and cottage cheese, more berries (I'm so addicted...), some healthy cereal, some slim-fast type shakes, and a few other healthy snacks and stuff for lunches. Chris has such a sweet-tooth, there's ALWAYS honeybuns, oatmeal cakes, peanut butter wafer cookies, chocolate chip cookies, you name it, in the house. I'm pretty good about staying out of them at least ;) I could never really get into them, but the thought of making a huge bowl of spaghetti right now makes my mouth water ;p I think I'm really going to have to beef up my exercise though. 30 minutes a day of not all cardio just isn't going to cut it I think. We're in a rural area and I'm not keen on the idea of walking alone along a windy two lane road, but we have lots of property I have yet to explore, so one of these days I'll get my shoes and my bugspray on and see what all we have. I'm also thinking of measuring (roughly) the distance from the back porch to the creek, and doing laps, maybe get to try to run the uphill portion. One the heat breaks a little more ;) I also have some all herbal tea that's supposed to be good for helping with weight-loss, no mystery chemical ingredients, just various herbs and when you throw a little honey in, it's actually really good, and good for you too. Unlike the tea I have for joint health. That tastes like alfalfa ;p I also really need to watch my portions again.
We are supposed to go to SCA School on saturday, we're signed up for a bunch of classes (fun stuff of course), but since he hurt his back at work, he doesn't know if he can go now because if he can't fight, he would rather stay home. Which means I would probably have to stay home if I want to spend any time with him. His final is due that day anyway, he might not have the time to go. Maybe Sunday we'll go take a nice long easy hike or something. I'll have to check the weather. I'm feeling a little cooped up and have almost no desire to unpack anything else.
I hear a kitten making mischief at the other end of the house...
