Years ago, when we were out in Alberta visiting my uncle he put me on the phone with his daughter Laurie, my cousin. I was on the computer at the time so I was distracted and didn't really engage her in conversation. I hadn't been in any kind of contact with her since I was very, very young.
She's been dead for years. That was the last time I talked to her. I wish I got off the damned computer and paid a little attention.
