(no subject)
update!
yeah it's been a while. been really busy, although thats not really an excuse.
i get all wierd when no one updates for ages cause its like, aaargh, i'm losing contact with everyone! i need to know what's going on! but then i'm just as bad if not worse.
so... last time i updated was the 17th i think. so...
went back to college the day after. wednesday went into ICM again, properly signed now. got measurements done, met the head dude. they went through everything and i got an official leaflet thing.
thurs/fri normal, friday night had a v tense convo with parents about weekend plans - i had two portfolio shoots and the trains were screwed to london, and it was my bro's bday on the sunday so i couldn't really miss it. in the end my dad took me to the one on saturday, sunday couldn't go (char, thats why i left you a random comment about bethnal green), went out for lunch for my bro's bday, then came home and had a photography spaz as coursework was due in on monday. finished it quite late, but it felt good when i handed it in.. although then i had to think about the impending exam.
tuesday saw HIM in Brixton, was very good, they're much better live than on CD. He drank and smoked waay too much on stage.. there were 12 year old moshers to my left with their dad looking distraught infront as Ville dedicated songs to Satan.
rest of the week was pretty uneventful. then...
saturday, had another photoshoot in the morning, in a room above the hollywood arms off fulham road in chelsea. it was the same day as the match v man united so lots of rowdy fans wandering around.
at one point we went outside and i had to pose in a leotard and stilettos with big sun glasses on against a wall - got lots of whistles. was quite fun actually. felt a bit cool.
after that, walked to earls court to for Give It A Name. wandered around in my shoot makeup for a bit, still high off the whole thing feeling like a bit of a celeb, then i sorta came down as i couldn't find anyone i knew. after a bit found two people from college and hung out with them. we went to the front for panic!, and there was an announcement saying men women and children were up next, everyone started booing and getting pissed off. after lots of chanting, panic! came on, and everyone started moshing, but like, really hardcore and i almost fell over. was like being in a fight with some music playing in the background, which wasn't really the point, so i pushed through to the back and watched from there. was still in a bit of a daze so i didn't really enjoy it as much as i coulda, but still was cool and they sound as good live as on CD. after ages Ali arrived, and we waited around for MCR. they were good, he was totally up himself but not in a necessarily bad way. i moved back again cause he started organising a fuck off circle and i'm not really that hxc. was good.
sunday, had a proper lie in til i got a call being like, why aren't you at work?! which sucked as i'd planned to laze around then do some art. worked in the house for a few hours. monday worked at the playground for the first time which was pretty cool, much more sociable. felt tired out though.
ummm... weds went on art history talk to fitzwilliam museum. kinda interesting.
thursday was my photography exam, which i wasn't really that worried about, and it went fine. it was just like a day long lesson where i got lots done. and now the course's over! which is wierd. no more lessons til after exams.
yesterday had a lie in then went shopping with friends from stevenage/hitchin, bought a poser waistcoat thing and diamante studded sunglasses in primark, green and white spotted flats with bows in topshop, and blue satin stilettos from new look. not sure why i bought the latter, but they were pretty and i like high heels... and i feel loaded as i've been working, even though i'm so totally not and am in debt. but i'm glad i bought them, i put them on first thing this morning and walked round in my chav shorts i slept in. been doing art all day, cause it's my exam tomorrow. it could go either way, i don't have the materials i need, but hopefully they do there. if not, i'll have to use a piece of my prep work or something and spend the 5 hours changing my sketchbook or something. but after tomorrow it'll all be over! no more art or photog. lessons til after study leave. which means i have insanely short days - tuesdays only first period, wednesdays only 2nd, etc.cool stuff.
tomorrow night i'm going to the man on the moon in cambridge to see my friend debs play with a band called the idle pirates, then staying over at hers.
