Question, you lovely little City people.

Since Grimmy-dear never would tell me, Cirucci would like to know.

The difference between making love and sex, if you please?

attention, question, love, sex

Why in all of the world do you need to know this?

The little scholar doesn't appreciate Cirucci learning things?

Point. Even though in the base idea, they are the same, it is when emotion is placed within the equation.

The idea of "Making love" comes from when two people who are attracted to each other emotionally have sex. Because the emotions heighten the feeling behind the act, it is considered to be a blissful, complete feeling. Two lovers bound together by an act, even for a moment.

Sex, rutting, 'sleeping with each other', is when emotions are not applied to the equation. It is a physical act, used to pro-create, release tension, or indulge one's need for pleasure. In this case, one of the two (or more) parties will not feel as satisfied, nor will the feeling of being 'complete' be applied, perhaps even injured in such acts.

[OOC: you HAD to ask the scholar...]

You asked for an answer, I have given it. Wish for me to explain anything further?

Mmm, yes, one more question.

What sort of take does your world have on this matter, hmm?

How about both?

In my world, both are seen as a part of life.

The very act of sex brings new life into the world, beginning a new cycle. What one does, will do, or will become will not be determined by one's birth. We are part of chaos, war, and Sex is merely a part of it. There will be whores, mistresses, and there will always be sex. It is commonplace, but never mistaken as an act of love. An act of power or greed, yes, but never love.

To fall in love is harder, far more painful, and yet gratifying. If I were to find a husband I could love, then I would gladly die for him, take a blow meant for death with a smile. I would show him my love in any way I could. It is considered very lucky to find yourself in love, a blessing of the goddess. To further the bond by expressing it both in body, mind, and soul, is seen as the goddess' blessing. We wish for love, we wish to be loved, and we'll fight for love. But in my world, there are far too many Romeos and Juliets. So when we see people in love, hear of them being able to make love, we rejoice.

Well, that viewpoint certainly explains that.

That fact that you're a virgin?~ ♥ Walk like one, talk like one. And Cirucci can just tell.

That.

I am a virgin, yes. I am proud of that fact.

I am not required to save myself for marriage, but I merely found it unappealing to sleep with men who i feel no attraction to.

No need to defend~ ♥

It wasn't an attack. When Cirucci does that, believe her, you'll know.

Strike at me, I shall gladly take any blow. But do not underestimate me. I may not be as helpless as I look.
