three-hundred & nineteen.

Christmas is for children. But it is for grownups too. Even if it is a headache, a chore, and nightmare, it is a period of necessary defrosting of chill and hide-bound hearts.

Final sales suck. Especially when you have to return presents, and the store won't let you. My mom's been really forceful with the "well if they don't want presents, we won't give them any", and it surprises me a little, to be honest. I think we're just upset that after our Halloween was butchered, we wanted a normal Christmas. She brought up a good point with my uncle, that we should have a budget for every person -- and that's what I do anyway, but everybody else should follow it too, I think she meant.

And with my mom giving me my gifts before we head over to my uncle's place, and me giving her hers... it's gonna be like having a regular gettogether dinner with a Christmas tree. But I'm not going to complain, because at least I get to see my family.

So I looked at my final grades today, and this is what ACSIS told me:

GEN1002 » Ethics for the Wellness Industry » D
HLT1010 » Health and Safety I » A+
HAI1012 » Cut and Style Hair I » D
ENL1813H » Communications I » B
HLT1011 » Treat Hair and Scalp I » A
MGT1010 » Salon Functions I » A+
HAI1014 » Colour and Lighten Hair I » A
HAI1015 » Hair Stylist Practical Lab I » A-
HAI1013 » Perm Wave & Chemical Hair Relax I » A-

I got a B in English when I got As and A+ on every assignment, and I only missed one assignment? Colour me fucking confused. And Cut and Style... I can't contain my horror. But hey, I didn't fail anything. I totally thought I was going to bomb Ethics. And get a B in Perm. What the flying fucckkkk.

Also, evidently the world around me is ignorant of the fact that "chemical" is not spelled "chemial", "chemcial", or any such variation. There's a spa near my place that offers "chemial peels". If you don't know how to spell your own services, then goodbye.

christmas '10, algonquin, school, drowning in stress, say what
