Well, I managed to go see
The Hulk last night. I went with Cap'n Cook, Princess JenFern, Cap'n Cook's parents and
racing_turtle. We pre-ordered our tickets earlier in the day and then all met up in front of the
Cinerama around 6:30 to wait in line - we were the fourth group back. The staff opened the doors at 6:45 and we elbowed our way into the theater to get the best possible seats in the house - the front center middle row. Spreading our belongings out along the row, we waited for the barrage of theater patrons to enter. After fifteen or so people sauntered in, we realized that this wouldn't be as big of a turnout as the Matrix.
Overall, I enjoyed the movie. It was fun to see the progression from the young Bruce Banner, through adolescent hinting at the green below the surface, all the way to the fully raging incredible hulk. I enjoyed all of the fight scenes. Usually, I'll get bored watching one if it starts taking too long and gets repetitive, like SO many do. But these scenes were well choreographed and I got to see all of the Hulk smashing and pounding that I went there to see. I wasn't expecting much from this movie, so I got way more than I'd thought possible.
After the movie, we came back home and I relinquished Harry Potter back to
racing_turtle, so I went to bed reading
Ender's Game, recommended to me by so many people - most recently
jpaulson.
