I started playing Dungeons and Dragons back in grade 4 or 5, and I can't even begin to tell you the effect it's had on my life. Just about every facet of my personality is in some way connected to the profound impact this man's creations has had on my life. I've met 98% of my friends through gaming and it's a part of my life that will never go away.
Interesting bit of trivia for you. D&D was published in 1974, the year I was born, and the man credited with it's creation has died on my 34th birthday.
