Yeah, so I don't really post here a lot (I'm sure anyone who pays any attention has noticed THAT by now).

I spent some time last week tinkering with my phone. I have a Sony Xperia Play from Verizon, which had a semi-broken Android version (the 2.3.4 update two years ago from Verizon broke the Google sync and they obviously don't care about fixing it). At some point, Sony added the CDMA version of the Play to the list of what could have bootloaders unlocked via their website, and since the warranty is long gone on my phone (not that Verizon would have fixed the problem by replacing the phone anyway), I decided to take it to myself to unlock the bootloader on my phone and install a customized version of Android on it. Getting the Google stuff installed on there proved to be a pain (license issues prevent people making custom Android versions from distributing Google's applications with their stuff), though I did get it to work. That did end up blowing away the contact list on my phone because the backup assistant from Verizon (where I had all my contacts backed up to) isn't on the Google Play Store (even though a number of other apps are). Oops. Oh well, I kinda needed to clean it up anyway, since some numbers aren't valid in there anymore (due to people moving out of the country and whatnot).

Anyone who wants me to have their number is welcome to email me, or leave a comment (I've got them set to screened, and will only unscreen comments that aren't phone numbers).
