In half an hour my ride to San Jose International Airport (SJC) arrives, and I shall be off to Orlando, Florida by way of Dallas, Texas. It'll be my first time in the southeast portion of the country. I think the closest I've been is Virginia. I'm pretty excited... although I abhor humidity, and its Florida in the winter, so I'm pretty sure it'll blow.
Current weather reports show 94% Humidity, and 82 degree's in the greater Orlando area. I think the plan will involve us staying in Orlando, then driving the hour or two out to Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral at 4am for the actual shuttle launch.
Aside from watching NASA explode astronauts into earth orbit, I hope to get some good Father-Son bonding time in, what else are we gonna do all weekend? ...Go to Universal Studios, I suppose.
I've been hoping to see a shuttle launch for my entire life... Its so surreal right now. I don't think its actually hit me. Probably will mid-transit.
I AM GOING TO NASA!
