Its been so cold in San Jose lately. Me and Aaron have not turned out gas on. These two things do not go hand in hand. Our apartment is relatively well insulated, it doesn't get our of hand... but its still cold enough to sit around in sweaters during the day. I kind of like it, I spent too many nights over the summer sitting around my room in underwear, dying of 85 degree heat in the middle of the night. Last night it got to 35 degrees. When I woke up Monday for my last lecture, the mountain tops to the east were covered in bright snow! I love being close enough to the mountains to see it from my front door.
Last Friday I performed Hairspray. It was even more fun than Wicked, mostly do to the subject material.
Dancing with real hairsprays cans, liberally spraying it at the audience was the dancing highlight.
Later in the day I went to Al's storytelling competition. He did a great story (in a Doctor McCoy accent) about a sailor who learns how to fly his boat. I saw a man perform a one-man show of the opening scene of Pulp Fiction. It was so fantastic that I am now re-watching Pulp Fiction as a result.
Saturday I took my first final, at 10 AM on saturday. Despite the awful time, I wrote a kick-ass essay on our society becoming a nation of people that "be" instead of people that "become". It was some grade A. existential bullshit and I expect to get an A- in Composition English.
Its the end of the semester. Things are pretty great. Today I spent 4 hours in the radio studio finishing my practical final (making 10 second shotgun commercials for my fake country radio station, 93.3 KFOL)
Tomorrow is my first day in quite a while with absolutely nothing to do. I could lay in bed until dinner, if I so choose.
Stay classy.
