Drabble #16
For kitsunesan, Wash/Simon (but gen) and 'ridiculous'.
"This is... This is absurd."
"Oh, I'd go as far as to say ridiculous."
"And you even admit it!"
"Yep."
"But we're still going to go through with it."
"Yep."
"Wash..."
"Simon."
"This is absurd."
"You said that."
"It bears repeating."
Wash grins. Simon always knew that the pilot was insane. It's saved them on occasion. Very rare occasion. But it looks like it's about to do so again.
"Hold on?"
Simon nods and grips hard to the seat of the shuttle. They rocket forward with a jerk in the next moment, breaking into a high security prison in the most dramatic and unexpected way possible. At least they keep the element of surprise. They'll likely still die.
Simon hopes that Mal appreciates the thing they do for this crew.
