[Vignette] Chielyth doesn't like it

She didn't like it.

She didn't like the way Kai was grumpygrowlysnarly all the time anymore, over every little thing.

She didn't like the idea of going to Monaco either, even if she'd get to see Seduth lots more and swim in the ocean too, because Kai wouldn't be there /and/ he'd be hitting people.

And she /really/ didn't like what Kai was doing while she was asleep (and she'd tried staying up longer, but she got so tired) with his yelling and hitting and it didn't feel right even if Kai said it made him feel better. She could feel his hands throbbing sometimes, felt the way his face stung and pinched and he hissed when he forgot.

She did her best to cheer him up, to get at the best of Kai that she could see even if he didn't think anyone else could. She asked him to go flying instead of going off with her friends, and she suggested he go see G'dri because Khameth's made him steady, made him quiet inside even if they just talked. Sometimes he'd go mate with one of the women he knew, and give her a present after, but mostly he was just grumpy and wanted to go off and hit something.

She knew, somehow, dimly, that part of it was her fault, only she couldn't make out the shape of it except 'she wasn't flying' except she did, all the time, she asked him! She didn't like that she was making Kai unhappy, and she curled tighter into a ball and grabbed her tail so it couldn't run off.

She should ask somebody, only she didn't know who. Not Mecaith - he was... he was Mecaith. He only did something after thinking about it for a really long time, and she needed answers now. Khameth? Corvinth? The thought of the two males made her shiver, only she wasn't cold, and she absently nibbled on the end of her tail. What about Elaruth? Maaaaybe. Her sister/friend was smart, and she listened, /and/ she went flying, /and/ she wasn't a boy.

She'd ask Elaruth what to do, next time she remembered. The very next time.
