early morning shakes
started a paper last nite. was half-way done at two in the morning and decided to sleep instead. my sentences started to sound more like abstract poetry than academic writing. the structure fell apart and chaos came to power. i could tell it was time to take a break.
woke up at six and started a second paper. finished it at exactly eight (right when it was due) and practically ran to class while listening to the flaming lips.
now my left eyebrow twitches with exhaustion. not exactly sure why my eyebrow would be exhausted, but it is. it's telling me to go to bed. but i'm telling it: "no. i have to finish the paper i already started." but the eyebrow is saying, "but you'll just be tired and nonsensical while writing." and i answer, "back the fuck up, eyebrow. BACK THE FUCK UP. i'll be fine. just fine."
we'll see who's right.
