OMG! I'm a DJ!!
OK so I'm not a real DJ, but I am now officially a DJ on a small Internet radio station. I've been preparing for this show for about 2 weeks, getting a play list ready, and all that good stuff. Then today I did my test show. I thought the talking part would be easy. I don't know what I was thinking though. I have never been good at talking in front of people, but I thought for some silly reason that talking into a microphone and being heard by people that I chat with on IRC everyday would be different. Yeah. NO! Of course I had the added pressure of learning the technical bits at the same time, and Winamp locked up on me, so I had to kill the feed and start again. I think I was on for a total of 45 minutes. Then DJ_Angel took over for her regular show. I'm glad I wasn't expected to stay on for very long that first time. I don't think my nerves could have taken it, next time though things will be better, and all that optimistic stuff.
