Britanis, seeking fellow travellers.
It was in may/june 1974 that I came to this country aboard the Greek ship Britanis along with other families as part of the last group under the controversial assisted passage scheme.
its been 34 years since we arrived and nearly 30 years since i have seen any one i traveled with outside my own family. Recent attempts to locate MR Edward Hedley (who was then a young lad and partner in crime as it were while we were aboard the ship for six weeks, formerly of Te Poi) have failed to locate him.
school records and friend finder sites have drawn a blank to find any one who made this crossing with us.
