http://stephenfry.com/blog/ this is the day i prep for the colonoscopy & endoscopy i have to do tomorrow . . . i freaked out yesterday (to the extent of actually tearing up during morning zazen - luckily no one noticed - i don't want to upset my sweetie more than he is) about all the pills etc you have to take to clean out for the colonoscopy . . . re-talked with the pharmacist & the doctor's nurse (pharmacist very helpful & supportive, nurse rushed & wrong & uninterested) re possible effects these could have on someone w/ chemical sensitivity . . . not to mention my worries re the hypoglycemia . . . blech!
decided to calm down & get them done . . . if only so m & the doctors all stop complaining i won't let them treat me. both boys'll be home today so if i have any adverse reactions there's help immediately to hand. & younger son & m will go to the hospital with me tomorrow for the actual tests . . . older son has to stay home & pick up the xmas box from the free food place up in trinidad - every year they give a box w/ a turkey, stuffing cubes, cranberry sauce, onions, margarine, carrots, potatoes, celery etc - all you need for an xmas dinner . . . when the kids were young there were presents, too . . . so many years that's gotten us thru . . . and so often those were the only presents i had for the kids . . .
crummy time of year, crummy time of life -
