mistakes to learn by...tibblesOctober 12 2003, 13:38:48 UTC
AEG certainally showed us that releasing a set 3 months in advance is a BAD THING!! (TM) and should never be done. I won't, you won't, and the gaming industry will be better for it. DE is going to sell better than any other l5 expansion ever, by like double, but it could have done like triple if they had just held off on the announcement, or released the set right after GC.
Ian, you are great, and you and I need to talk more. Lots, lots, lots more. Especially now that I am fully back on this side of the fence. Score is ready to do some fairly amazing stuff next year. They are about to become an actual game company (SUPRIZE!!) and they will be seriously competing in the hobby market by mid-spring of next year. You are now fully coming into your own in the game industry, as I've seen all throughout this year. It's been great to see, BTW. I can't wait for this coming origins awards. In case you have not heard, THEY ARE NO LONGER POPULAR VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fuck popular vote. They are now INDUSTRY awards, and there are a couple of copy catagories that the public can vote on, and these are called the "Public Choice Awards" and are not the same as the origins awards any more. It is F'ING AWSOME!! Anyway, I've been hoping for this for 3 years, and it's nice to finally see it happen.
Tell me you will be at either the LV ComicCon or GC SoCal, as I'll be at both and would love to see you!! Hell yah.
Thanks for being such a fun friend Ian! I am so looking forward to the next year. It is going to be GREAT! and I look forward to talking to you a bunch! My new cell #, BTW, is 817-992-8037. Call me any time.

Waves to Tibbles. How's it going in Texas? What fence are you referring to?
Ian, looks like I'll be staying with Wolfgang on my weekend down in Seattle (Leon's big DE pre-release). You're doing the Magic state tourney, or something? Get in touch so we can arrange to hook up. I'll bring some good Canadian microbrews with me. :)

TX goes 'k. the fense that I'm referring to is the fence of busyness. I've been really busy and have not had the time to do the things that I should, like stay current online ;)
