Sunday Unplugged

Mar 30, 2009 11:02

Well, no not really, just from the 'net. This was an interesting weekend. Friday night bardicstorm and I played more Wizard101. Such a fun little game.

Saturday was shopping - finally - for pants. I was really worried about it because I've been less than good about my eating lately. But it ended up not being so bad and now I have two more pairs of pants to wear to work. I think next weekend I'll finish going through the closet to get rid of the old, worn and not fitting right things. I've already got one good sized bag from a time this winter. I'm sure there is more in the closet - especially in back that I haven't seen lately and will be horrified by.

Still, it was such a nice feeling to buy a pair of pants and not hate myself afterwards for either of the normal reasons. (1. seeing myself in a mirror is ususally eek and 2. money has been rotten and guilt inducing for months now.)

Saturday night we turned off all the lights at 8 pm and just sat in the dark watching movies the rest of the night. We unplugged a few applicances also. Not the complete shut-down that others pulled off, but our comfort level.

Sunday was cleaning and a delicious dinner. Shoulder lamb chops. And no computer time at all really. A few minutes in the morning, but then I walked away for the rest of the day. It felt good to not be online all day. We got the bedroom clean and the living room and did dishes although then more appeared. I loathe dishes, such an endless task.

Back to work today and so far it's been a quiet day. That would be a good thing if it stuck around. And tonight is dinner made by my boss' partner - she's such a good cook! And loves feeding us, so I'm really excited about that.
