Welcome to our new fic community! This community was founded by me, pen_of_jen, (and from time to time you'll see me as my alter-ego RibbitJen23) as well as sinnrsandsaints, and our other fabulous mods litterthisheart, pr_scatterbrain and alivemagdolene to be home to a whole new kind of fic from what we've seen for this fandom. We've posted a bit of an open call for writers, icon makers, cap and clip producers, avid commentators (really, we're comment whores), and anyone else who is as addicted to pundit love as we are over at fakenews_fanfic (to whom we are very grateful for their help and support!). We want to make sure everyone understands this is a supplemental community to that one, and all of us mods (and hopefully all of our members) will continue to post unrelated fics there.
Obviously this is a locked community, but feel free to pass it on to other like-minded fans to have them join and bring their talents to it as well. Anyone is welcome, as long as they are at least 16 years of age, have interests that meet up with ours, and promise to NEVER flame and to contribute as much as they feel comfortable.
This is a place where we will write and post totally interactive and collaborative fics. Each person who signs up will be responsible for representing his or her chosen pundit/anchor's point of view throughout each fic. It’s a little bit of role-playing meets a whole lot of pundit/anchor/comedian interaction that if all goes as planned, will end up providing hours of entertainment and enjoyment for all of us.
Each person who signs up will be assigned one chapter of the fic, with a chapter title that will have already have been laid out by the mods. You can take this chapter anywhere you want to go. Make it smut, make it angst, make it crack, make it AU, use any pairing you like. As long as you tell the story from your character’s p.o.v., anything goes. You can collaborate with other writers, ask for their input if you are borrowing their character, use a beta, or you can do none of the above. Your chapter is TOTALLY yours; the only thing that will not be tolerated is flaming of other writers. Each chapter can be posted as soon as the previous chapter has been up 48 hours and should be posted within a week of the previous chapter being posted.
Posting your chapter is your ONLY obligation. Though we would love to see many responses to each chapter, and get to know each of your characters better this way, you are not required to respond. Thus, how much time you put into each fic is totally up to you. Should you choose to respond, you must post your response under the header (the name of your character)’s response to chapter (title of the chapter).
Anyone can comment (as long as they are a member of the community) on each and every post. This is highly recommended, (as we are a bunch of comment whores), but again, not required.
After each chapter is posted, each other writer will then have the chance to respond with a story/drabble/ficlet from their character’s p.o.v. Obviously not every character will be represented in each chapter.
Thus these responses must only adhere to these basic rules:
1. The pre-assigned title must fit the response.
2. The main character in the original chapter must play some role (however small) in the response.
3. The responses can change pairings, places, circumstances, and everything else but must adhere to the basic story line laid out in the original chapter.
At any time, any writer can work together with any other writer on their chapter or on their response.
At any time any writer can respond to a response, as long as their response follows the same rules laid out above.
Writers who have signed up already receive all rights to their character for the entire first fic.

Each of you who has chosen to represent someone is encouraged (NUDGE-NUDGE! Go do it now!) to write an introduction for your character and post it under the header:

If you are not writing your first choice, or if you would like the chance to write someone else who is already claimed, have no fear!
At the end of each fic, there will be a thread where anyone can offer to swap characters, or choose to challenge someone to steal their character. In this thread we will also post an anonymous vote for Best Chapter and Best Response. The author that wrote the Best Response (as determined by this vote) will then get to name the next fic. The writer who wins Best Chapter will then get to lay out the titles for the chapters of said fic and assign them to the writers. Should either person choose not to do this, the task will fall back to the mods.
Character Challenge
You must post the challenge to the person currently writing the character you want in the post fic open thread. You must then wait until that person responds, don’t worry, we won’t start a new fic until everyone knows who they are writing. They can either choose to give you their character, or they can write a drabble starring their character (in any pairing/situation/etc. that they choose). You must then respond with a drabble of your own adhering to the same pairing/situation that they wrote. We will open the floor for an anonymous vote, and the person who wins will then get to represent this character in the next fic.
REMEMBER! This community is for fun and collaborative writing and is meant to improve everyone’s skills and open everyone up to new pairings, new characters, and new friends. Try to keep an open mind about all the characters, and be respectful of the fact that this is a meeting of fandoms and people will not always agree with your opinions (however strong) that your character is the most lovable in the fic.
FLAMES OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED so be kind to one another, and the community will be more enjoyable for everyone involved.
Which brings me to the un-pleasantries:
If you flame, you will receive only ONE verbal warning from a mod. Should you flame again, you will be removed from the community. This sounds harsh, I know, but we WILL NOT TOLERATE negativity in a community that was born of the ideas of fangirl friendliness, and with great hope for fandom appreciation being spread. We understand it’s hard to not take things personally, and con-crit can be hard to hear, so please notify a mod immediately if you question someone’s comment or find anything offensive so that we can contain the situation before anyone else’s feelings are unnecessarily hurt.
Other Community Facts/Rules:
Every day, one of the mods will post an open thread. Anything and everything is appropriate for these threads, again as long as it is not an attack or in anyway offensive to other members. These will be the place to post beta requests, converse with other writers about their characters, post fan-art, icons, fan-mixes, comics, videos, discussion of the shows, and anything else that might inspire the fics or help us get to know each other better.
Every member of the community is eligible to vote when it comes to Character Challenges, Best Chapter, and Best Response awards and anything else we put to a vote. However, we expect you to not cheat or vote-spam us in order to sway things. Please keep it fair, and let truthiness win out.
Every member of the community can post suggestions, ask questions, and challenge people as long as he or she does said things respectfully.
If you choose to join into a story already in progress to represent a new character, you must first get mod approval. After you’ve received it, you must then provide a small back story for your character to introduce them to the story, and be ready and willing to give character info if you choose someone who not everyone in the community is familiar with.
Any writer may choose to add a response from an unclaimed character at any point during a story. However, they must preface their response with the previously mentioned “New Character Info”.
All writers have posting privileges, but as we know, with power comes responsibility. If you want to post an off topic thread, you must get approval from a mod first.
This community is brand spankin’ new, so you can absolutely expect there to be problems, and you can absolutely expect us to modify the rules as necessary as it develops. However, you can also expect us to always be fair, keep you informed, and want nothing but the best for our community and all of our members.
