It's been a while since I've posted!  We've been away every weekend in August (and most of July), and working constantly, including at night.  It seems like we've barely been home for the past six weeks!

I am really looking forward to spending the next month or so at home.  I'm looking forward to grocery shopping and getting back in to cooking dinner and lunches.  I subscribed to Cooking Light, which has the best recipes and am anxiously awaiting my first issue.

i spent most of the days I wasn't babysitting in August working in my classroom getting it ready for my new class.  I'm so glad I put in so much time ahead of the game-I got to clean out my desk, organize my closet, and do other things that I'd never be able to once the school year is in full swing and things are busy.

School started on Wednesday and i LOVE my new class.  I have 19 fourth graders that are just wonderful little people.  I also have the greatest staff working for me with my special needs kids.  I have 2 special ed teachers, the speech/language specialist, the occupational therapist, guidance counselor, a math tutor, and a reading tutor all working in my classroom throughout the day or pulling students out for individual instruction.  Coming up with a schedule for all these people was tough, but so far so good!  I also have my 2 principals, the superintendent, and the curriculum coordinators doing walk throughs most days.  That's a lot of adults!

Here are some pics I took of my classroom yesterday-not much on the walls or bulletin boards yet, but with Parent Night next Thursday, the pressure's on to get the kids' work up and on display!
