my opinion, based on nutrition books I've read.........

ok, I'm currently sick as fuck with a killer sore throat, all kinds of "nasal" shit goin on, and as of this morning, non-stop cough.
For those who are afraid of me "getting you" sick or whatever, here's what I've learned over the years;

during seasonal changes, all animals go thru a period of detox, depending on toxiicty of diet or enviromental stress on the body. Part of this is to prepare the body for the changes in temperature and different mineral intake(seasonal foods). We see it less in wild animals cuz they eat what they've always eaten, and live where they've always lived. In pets such as dogs we see wet noses and watery eyes. Humans, who in the last couple thousand years have gone from their natural diet to cheetos, cream cheese bagels, and beer, experience the seasonal detox the worst. We don't catch "bugs", our bodies are pushing out all the stupid crap we consume.
The common cold is your worn and tattered system trying to get rid of that processed garbage with mucous flushing and coughing. I eat better than anyone I know(litterally), but I smoke abunch and drink like a fish, in the last four or five weeks it's been insane every night! so now I'm paying the price. It's my fault. I accept this. But I think it's strange that people think of it as something we could catch from eachother.

So don't fear my sweaty, red-eyed, coughing ass. If you've been good to yourself, then you'll be fine.

or

I'm wrong.
