ok, Ohio's school board has just placed new standards of critical analysis on their biology curiculums(sp?). It involves heavy questioning of the "theory" of evolution, and more emphasis on intelligent design. According to the psycho-religeous morons who have been pushing this shit, evolution still has too many holes in it's reasoning, so intelligent design is going to take a bigger place in their science classes. Is this a "glass houses" type situation or what??
These people think biological life on this planet is much too complicated to NOT be the result of intelligent design. Nature could never produce such intricacies, so it must have been a mythological diety (the Christian one of course!). Man, the logic of these people escapes me. Why do we want to get so far away from nature? Why do we need to feel we're above it all? just because WE can't understand it? You can see just as much soul in a dog's eyes as you can in a human's.
It's really fucking hard not to just want to throw up your hands and say "fuck em all!" It's like being in a room full of insecure children who argue just for the hell of it. The truth will be there no matter what we tell our children, whether you accept it or not.
