Falling off the face of the earth

Or jumping off a building.. which ever way you look at it.

I just read Linds' post right before I was going to post, so this is partly for her, partly just an update, but of course all for me.

So after coming back from the fridgidness, It was just a big long week of beer and cigarettes and foreign people. And amazing weather. But all good things seem to come to an end right?

Before the semester ends, and I'm already getting written up. I had taken out my screen at the beginning of break and started spending a lot of time sitting outside my window on the 3 foot wide ledge, just watching the city. Sometimes listening to music, sometimes smoking certain things, but mostly just watching the lights of downtown winking. The sunset over the city is breathtaking. It's one of the best views. And it was okay because no one was here to see me sit out there, except Ankit, who ripped his own screen and enjoyed one of the best spots in San Diego. After getting back, we had gotten a new wave of International students. A swedish girl Elin moved in on our floor and had met this Australian girl Kristy on the 9th floor. I met them both the first night I was back. It was exciting to have new people to hang out with, a change of face. So that night, the partying began. It was fun, ruit in Ankit's room. Same with the next night, and the night after. Monday night we played Kings in my room and used our new blender to make vodka and fruit and soda etc. It was an interesting mixture.. but it worked. 5 of us finished a handle of vodka pretty quickly. Kristy and I split a bottle of sauvignon blanc and sat out on the ledge. We stayed up all night and when it got bright out, I went inside and started attempting to play guitar hero. I gave up after a song hah. Then I went into my room and got a call from nick, my RA saying Tom, the building owner, saw one of us out on the ledge and they were on their way up. So Kristy and I scramble around to find the remains of my broken necklace and my room key, and get all the alcohol out of my room (I hid the empty bottles in chloe's fridge and microwave apparently). Finally we get a knock on my door and we open it to four cops, my RHC(the big fat tool), the building owner, and Nick. I tried to act like we had no idea what was going on.. I did all the talking and was extremely calm, or rather annoyed lol, yet under control. (Are you sure you have the right room? -yes- Are you sure you have the right floor? -- yes, I counted six floors up, I saw a female in a blue sweatshirt--) Of course neither of us were in a blue sweatshirt. It finally came down to the cop saying we were wasting their time and they know one of us did it, so I said it was me. Then the mental stabilities followed and I now have a meeting on Thursday with one of the other RHCs and I'll find out my consequences (I'm guessing probation and counseling or something uber retarded) then or shortly after. I am now the girl that tried committing suicide by jumping off the building.

Since I'm sure that's not something that would fit into your schedule Linds, (Although it would definitely give you some excitement) I hope it was at least entertaining and something I'm sure that sounds very featherish.

I just watched August Rush and absolutely loved it and cried and it reminded me of home for some reason. The home where we're all together and there's just music. Because it is definitely something that connects you to other people, and life.

Linds I'd give you some of my latest listens but my hard drive crashed as I was home and so I've lost everything and am still in the process of recovering. So if anyone feels like sending Cds, or anything, that'd be sweet. I just got the book, and will send it out tomorrow. I love you all, and miss seeing you, and actually getting to fully enjoy time, with out being rushed, or tired, or restricted in anyway. I miss the snow and wish I could hit the slopes with you all. Now I'm just hoping I'll get a chance to out here. And linds, if you're not doing anything this summer I'm probably going to Australia, you should come with. tickets are pretty cheap and the currency exchange is excellent.
