Backing up photos
Just spent an ENTIRE day trying to copy pics onto my laptop and backing them up.
My phone was full and I couldn't take anymore photos!!! The horrors! Totally unbecoming for someone like me.
Anyhow that compelled me to quickly transfer my pics out to free up some space.
Needless to say, my MacBook Air is even more fully loaded. I had to delete many many pics (almost all!!) More than 5 times before I managed to transfer the >13000 pics over.
Yea so it was mega slow motion. Transfer 1000, copy 1000, delete 1000 and the process repeats itself.
Sadly, the phone and laptop kept taking turns to hang on me. Decreased my efficiency tremendously and irritating me.
Finally Hubbs came home to save the day. He uploaded the remaining 4000+ pics onto his laptop for me! Yay!!!! I couldn't do that in my laptop due to space constraints. ;(
So yes, I did it! After an entire day.
And so my kids-free Monday has just gone up in dust, copying photos.
Guess this is really the downside of taking too many photos.
And there's a great sense of urgency because when I complain too much, my techy Hubbs will end up getting me new gadgets (which i don't want!!) - he has suggested a new phone on top of a new laptop.
So now that I've freed up space, everything's back to normal! Let's hope it'll last for a while till the next backup.
