me- have you had a professor yet that you feel has really opened your eyes to your major? and enlightened you to the point where it's almost unnerving?
erika- yeah, my intro psych professor really did. it was crazy. when i heard my psych professor talking i was just like, yes, yes! this is what i want to do! it was such a beautiful moment.
I can't even imagine having that much intellectual jurisdiction. Professors are such idiosyncratic creatures. The good ones, anyway. I will never forget my English professor from this past Spring. She wasn't the one that led me down the well trodden path to the English major (that was Ms. Nelowet, 7th grade), but she definitely made sense of it. Made it plausible. She resembled Diane Keaton, wearing mostly vintage menswear and an approachable disposition. Unlike the utterly obtuse professor I have right now, "Diane Keaton" meticulously poured astute ideas into our minds like a watering can on a pot of geraniums. Her passion for literature completely polished my crass understandings and I am so very grateful to have been a pupil. I never missed a class.
