Why? We have no idea, as of yet. There just wasn't anyone there to give uf the tests and supervise the whole thing - seems like university administation has properly bungled it. If we got something wrong, all 60 or 70 of us managed to mess up in the exact same way, which seems unlikely. There was only George at the institution, and he had no idea what had gone wrong - so the History of Islam exam is hanging in the air at the moment.
So after fifty minutes, we went home instead. Bit of an anticlimax, I was looking forward to getting the bloody thing over and done with.
I'm going to pay poor darling K a visit in the psychiatric emergency ward (or whatever those places are called in English) today. She wasn't well enough to take a walk over to her place and have tea there, as planned, so we'll be stuck there, unless the weather gets better. There's a Sherlock Holmes film with Basil Rathbone on TV in a couple of hours, though, so we could possibly watch that and try to pretend we're somewhere else - mental institutions are not the most cheerful places, and I really think K could use a break from the institution weave wallpapers, blue plastic shoe covers and the other insitution people.
And I can try to dig up some good, juicy gossip.
I really can't imagine anyone getting better in a place like that.
