Ah you read both of them and I'm swooning a little.
I love how you're like 'yeah it's Junba fic but let me tell you how all the other pairs were AWESOME'.

And that's a very perfect reaction because I was in BATTLE with this fic. It kept wanting to be NinoAiba SO BADLY. At one point I thought that I'd give in. I'd even called my beta and was like alright its happening this fic is taking a 180 Aiba is ending up with Nino. I wanted to keep the fic lighthearted but then Nino decided to fall in love with Aiba and I had to CRUSH his heart to make it Junba. This is the bittersweet circumstance of exchange fics. I believe wholeheartedly that if I wasn't writing for someone who loved JunBa so much it would have been a NinoAiba ending. At the same time, despite the agony it was empowering as a writer to have this much control over how the story progressed. I absolutely love some parts of this fic but I'm always thinking that others seems forced and the progression isn't organic.

Please don't even mention the JunMa. Do you know it killed me that Jun and Toma weren't dating?????????? I even thought I'd make Toma the cheating ex but in the end decided to limit the source of drama for my own sanity. So I guess this would be a NinoAiba JunMa story if it weren't for the exchange LOOOOL

I admit that I am the queen of one-sided love (having been in one for over 8 years) but trust me you write those feelings so beautifully. I re-read Heart of a Courtesan quite a bit and Nino always kind of steals the show for me.

I love that your comments always evoke the writing process. It's always such a pleasure to hear from you.
